| Post subject: | How to bounce back from a major life event |
Hey guys, just looking for some direction here. I'm most likely losing my job within the next couple of weeks due to an incident that happened while I was working an assignment out of state. Short story is this- two clients went at it and I jumped in the middle to break it up, got clubbed over the head pretty bad and wound up in the hospital with a concussion. There's a good chance my results came back less than clean on the old workman's comp wizz quiz so I'm not exactly feeling stable career wise at the moment. I've got an associates degree in general studies and some good work references but whatever I end up in most likely won't bring the kind of paycheck I've been used to. Have you all quit pickup when this sort of thing happens? I'm stuck in a mindset where I feel like I bring 0 value to the table and I'm not sure how to handle it. |

First off, you're putting your value to things and not yourself. This is often a structure of an insecure man. There are men who live with their mothers who get laid. There are men who are completely broke and have women support them and get laid. Your job doesn't bring things to the table, you do, you're a man, and you have value. Second, if you want to better your results with women and need a new job, consider getting a job in sales. Insurance is always good, real estate as well can work well, even Windows and Remodeling would give you an opportunity to make a good deal of money, and learn to approach and engage people with purpose and intent. |

Do what feels right for you. If you can keep going at less than 100%, good for you. I wouldn't, but that's just me and like the previous poster said, there are guys in worse situations that haven't shut down their game. |
