| Post subject: | Subway game |
This is where I should have posted the first time! Anyway, I just moved in to NYC, and I've been thinking about subway game. It just seems stupid to be underground with so many people not saying anything to each other. It's quite alienating to boot. I tried subway game once in October when I came to check the city out before moving in. In one day I managed to get two emails, but didn't have the balls to ask for numbers. I would appreciate some pointers from any of the brothers here who also live in cities with developed public transportation systems. Koz |

Im not one for picking up on the Metro/Subway or even the train since I frequent more on trains, but I have initiated small talk on the train one. Nobody talks on the train, that was my opener to a HB7.5 who sat next to me with empty seats all around. |

It's a challenge, but since when has that deterred us? Did you pursue that conversation with her, cheesecake? |

Yeah, it's a challenge, and you got the right attitude Koz. So here's a couple of pointers, field tested in Boston subways, or better known as the T, possibly one of the hardest places to sarge. Everyone's got their noses in some reading material, wear iPods, and are generaly in a crappy mood due to the crappy subway system and weather. So, saying that it's a challenge is an understatement. First thing you have to understand is that some people are just not open to be approached on the subway. Those are the ones not looking around at people, have their earphones safely plugged in their ears, and just a very closed off attitude about them. Ignore them! You also have to keep in mind that some woman don't feel comfortable talking to strangers on a subway, let alone be interested in one. So your move has to be very subtle and in a non-threatening way. So as soon as you walk into the subway car flash a big smile, if there's cellphone reception speak (or fake) to a friend about something funny and positive, and scan it for a HB with an open body languange. Anyone standing up is usually getting out on the next stop and you will not have time. When you spot a target try to sit across from her and at an angle. Sitting directly across is too confrontational and next to her invades private space and puts people off. Next, get some social proof, start talking to the old lady that's close by, or a woman with a kid. Creepy guys that roam subways in search for young girls would never do that, so you have to. Bring up an interesting topic on current events and include the HB into the conversation. And break your teeth on the evening hours when everyone is in a social mood and going out to bars or something, and always choose a target within a group of people over a girl sitting by herself. Let me know how it works out and stay positive. |

Excellent advice, slick. I'll try all of this out when I'm a little bit more settled into this great city. If I got two emails in one day doing this, then it's great territory. I've had nights in bars and clubs where I got nothing! |

Unfortunatly I didnt. Im not one for closing, for some reason only the open gives me nough satisfaction since I used to be to closed off and shy. Im still pretty shy, but it's getting better day by day Did you pursue that conversation with her, cheesecake? A wing on the metro/subway/train is probably easier then mall pickup if you see 2 girls. just a little tip |

I've always had similar problems ... approaching girls at a club or lounge is easy but the subway is a whole different story. In the last few days I've found myself really wanting to try some subway game because people really do look so bored sometimes, just feel like it would be enjoyable for both parties. A few mornings ago a girl actually opened me, it was a good opener too, I had my school bag and she asked which University i attend. Turns out we went to the same school and even had similar classes. Unfortunately she was only a HB6 at best so I wasn't really interested but i gave her my number because i was impressed at the balls this little lady had. The point is that if a little lady can open a guy up in the subway it should be no sweat for one of us. I am going to try a subway game asap and I'll post my results. |

Good story, Wrangler, but I want to be the guy on the subway who gets the number FROM the girl. I gave a girl my email once whom I talked with on the subway, but she never replied. I want to go that extra mile and number-close on the subway, regularly. Of course, it goes without saying that if you have the confidence - and competence - to regularly number-close on SUBWAYS, then imagine the possibilities for your game in other places. And I'm not even saying that I am that good at the game YET to go for the most challenging territory. I mean, they say you should crawl before you can walk, right? It makes sense, but every time I get onto the subway, it just seems like I HAVE to talk to somebody. I don't know, maybe it's the dungeon-like SPAM down there, but the desire comes nonetheless. |

I agree man. I swear ever since reading the game and getting involved with this I am seeing opportunity everywhere. Subway is a great place and our right, if i can there, then clubs will be a breeze. |
