PUA assumes (rightly) that women value confidence.

But it wrongly assumes that confidence is built via self-acceptance or "being comfortable in one's own skin".

Look, women in school/college do go for confident guys, but most guys at that arena only have confidence due to being popular or seen as "socially rated". It has shit to do with "self-acceptance" or other crap. Some may say they are popular since they are confident, but I say this is bullshit. It's because they act/behave in cool ways. Young people don't really have the same sensibilities as adults. How can they? A 50 year old may see a person beyond their social status, but to younger people it's largely about if a person does cool things or is not a nerd/geek/dork. Being "nice" is really secondary.

This may seem like a rant, but it's not really as such. It's just PUA is not really honest in its advice to younger guys, and presumes that people in school or even university judge/gauge people on how confident they are, or how much they "smile" and other such bullshit. These really are things that mature and highly non-judgmental people subscribe to, it's not an absolute worldview ;)

t;dr - There really should be a PUA video out there telling younger guys simply not to be a geek/dork and you'll get girls in school settings.

LOL bro you have so much growing to do as a person...

Self acceptance is being content but never satisfied with your life and who you are as a person. You will learn who you are as you get older and start to find yourself and who you really are. Don't let society define you. If you want the definition of a nerd.... An intelligent, single-minded expert in a particular technical discipline or profession. LOOK AT WHAT THE FUCK WE ARE DOING!!! WE ARE ON A FORUM DISCUSSING A PARTICULAR TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE!! Everyone is a nerd in their own special way. It is your willingness to accept who you are and not being afraid of what people think.

CONFIDENCE is not something you have or don't have alot of. It is a feeling caused by chemical reactions in your brain due to a particular setting at a particular time. Everyone has felt confident at some point in their lives doing or saying something. Example... riding a bike. I'm sure you are pretty confident about doing that. Your CONFIDENCE came through COMPETENCE. (learning and understanding how the bike works and knowing what your bike is capable of.) Your confidence levels with women will rise as your competence level does. You didn't ride that bike on the same street all the time... But if you know how to act in one situation, you can use that knowledge to act in another situation.

Hope this helps you understand a little bit better.... Pick up is not all about the girls. It's about the ability to build a better life for yourself. Learning it at such a young age will only put you ahead of the curve.

You're deluded.

Again, you're translating how a 40 year old may think and value to younger people.

I don't at all have an issue with confidence. However, PUA needs to get with the programme and realise that confidence in late teens/early twenties is based on popularity, coolness and looks, not "deeper" self-acceptance.

Are you seriously saying that in your school/college, being seen as cool was not a major advantage in dating?

I'm a nerd and my current profession is in software development and online marketing. I have a high IQ; not as high as Bill Gates but almost near. I'm +40 and I mostly sarge and fuck 18 to 21 year old women although occasionally, I'm okay with the 30-something age range. I have relocated near a college, church and a public transport terminal. It takes a mere 5 minutes to get into my sarging environment.

Do I let my nerdy personality show when sarging these young women?

No. I dress cool like a rock band vocalist. I talk fluff and nonsensical things that girls in my target age range like best. When they ask what I do, I always say I'm a funeral singer or sometimes, I'm a crocodile farmer. I say stupid things; a far cry from what I say professionally to get the job done.

The girls around me know me as a jock and always keep guessing what's my age. When they see people jogging slowly at the plaza, they see me sprinting and doing plyometrics or whirling my nunchaku. Most girls think I'm younger than my actual age.

What's the point of all these?

Yes, you are right. To get girls in your age range, being cool gets the pussy.

lol dude I'm 25....

It doesn't matter if other people see you as cool or how other people see you at all for that matter. It matters how you see yourself.

Striving to be "cool" based on societies definition of "cool" is letting other people define who you are and who you are going to become. The sooner you can learn how to see yourself as "cool" regardless of any external evidence (money, cars, clothes, etc.) the better off you will be as a person.

Majika is going a bit deeper, perhaps that`s not the point of the topic creator.

Yes, you are right. At young ages people value simple and easy things such as popularity. Sometimes I wonder if I`m into this just for the reason I have none in highschool and now in university. Not that I look for it either.

You need to understand what your goals are; becoming popular will get you pussy alright, but that`s not the way I want it to happen nor becoming popular one of my goals.

At most, all I want to do is to be the loudest guy on a party, the man who`s having a blast and everyone notices it. To me that detail matters, not the fact of being the popular guy 365 days a year.

Majika is talking about true confidence; about being you at the best and at the worst moments. To be able to find guts where most men fail at, and to know and accept every day who you are and be happy about it.

This acceptances comes with a code of course, no one is giving wrong or right steps towards the future, everyone has general guidelines that are following.

Confidence actually comes down to be a real man, a very simple concept; and a very hard thing to get.

You're actually right in a way, but you didn't go far enough. The definition of being 'cool' is just being liked.

What you say doesn't exist is actually called Social Circle gaming, which essentially the art of being seen as 'cool' and popular within a set group of people (I.E class of 20XX) The entire community already knows this absolutely DOMINATES any school/work setting. It's much broader in the fact that you have to care what goes around you socially unlike Cold approaching random women. Every single interaction a PUA has with another person in that social circle directly affects how others view him and the chance of getting a desired girl within his social circle. Being seen as 'Confident'(AKA cool) by your peers is what will get you results, such as being able to laugh at yourself(Comfortable in your own skin) and making others smile while also being a leader of others.

Success breeds Confidence, and vice versa. So find something about yourself that makes you awesome(Self acceptance), and let everyone you meet know. People will admire this confidence, and soon you will be seen as the cool guy all around, especially if you're good with humor. Do some more research into Social circle game and you'll see what i'm talking about.

Being popular just means you're liked by a lot of people. So yes, this should be one of your goals because it's definitely attainable just by being positive about life in general.
