Dating really is simple. Simply be a protector and a provider. Despite contemporary PC bullshit, women still want and are geared to seek out a man who will look after them, protect them, and be their rock. Some may say this simply means being an Alpha Male, but IMO that term confuses people, and to some extent makes some guys not be themselves. By being a protector/provider, simply: - Be decisive - Stand up for your woman at all times - Be dependable for her - Have a steady income/job - Ensure a secure and safe environment - Make the major relationship/household decisions One doesn't even need a big job, and even if one is just a store clerk, be the best store clerk one can be. Women essentially are neurologically geared to want a protective man. Think about it, once a woman reaches a certain age, a "marriagable" (so to speak) man is one who is a good provider and one who can ensure the safety/security of her household. This is especially important when children come into the picture. I think to some extent, PUA overcomplicates this, when it's not really that complex and difficult. |

It depends what women are looking for. If they are looking for a boyfriend or a husband, then yes, you are correct. If they are just looking to hookup for sex, then the husband qualities you speak of don't matter at all. Why do you think girls chase bad boys who treat them like shit? |

The same is true even for sex. It's to show one's, in essence, masculinity. Even still, I contend that PUA tends to obfuscate and make dating more complex than it needs be. Simply understand how women think, value and what they want/need. I would also say looks do matter, and it's a no brainer to say better looking men have an advantage. But even a man who is a 3 or 4 can still prove value to women if he demonstrates protector/provider traits. Men who are below 5 on the scale still can get married and date, so it's not impossible. |

One thing people on this forum seems to forget from time to time, is that we are probably under 1% of guys.Lets say that 5% of all men are naturals, the ones that get effortless lays (as in, they don't need to learn anything). And the remaining 94% are AFC's. We'll split AFC's into two categories - Nice Guys and Douchebags. The Nice Guy - Does everything for the woman, needy as fuck and the definition of beta. He doesn't spark any emotions in the woman at all. The Douchebag - Is rude, doesn't give a fuck and couldn't care less about the girl (atleast that's how he poses). This will spark emotions in a woman. Mostly negative, but since women are emotional creatures, that's better than nothing at all. Last but not least we have the PUAs - We got our shit together, we are nice towards women, yet not needy. We make them feel good about themselves, but we're still in control of the entire interaction, so they know that we are secure and reliable. All in all, we are the full package. A big part of this contains of being a man. Or a protector/provider as ilikenamitha put it. You might view this as husband material, because, well it is. But that is the same reason they choose us over badguys, we make them feel good. Yes, they easily fall in love with us. Yes, they'll want something exclusive even though we've made it clear that it won't be. But all in all, being a PUA, is in many ways being husband material as you've put it, and it's the best way to attract women. |
