No, you can be a low value , self deprecating comedian and crack girls up all day and not have a chance. However, many times when you see a woman laughing with a man, the shit he is saying isn't funny, and the fact she is laughing at unfunny shit means the guy has a level of compliance which strongly indicates he can have his way with the woman.

so look at her reaction to humor as a trailing indicator of attraction not the actual cause.

Too much comedy = can't be taken serious.
If you make a joke of everything a woman says, she won't take you serious.

This is true, but also can be easily covered. A lot of HB's who i know that i can't potentially lay or I'm not that interested in i will make everything funny and awkward a lot. But when they use the line 'i can never take you seriously', i instantly switch and go ultimately direct. For example, the other day i saw a HB in town and she said that line to me. I instantly pulled her towards me, told her to look at me and said 'let's fuck'. She was speechless, left with her friend and dropped me a text later.

No it's not true. I agree with most of the responses. Some girls who laugh do it b/c they want you to think that they think you are funny to build your confidence. It's a fake laugh.

Where I think she is coming from is that, if you can genuinely make them laugh it's good, and if they fake laugh b/c they like you but don't necessarily think you are funny it's also good. But there are going to be other factors at play.
