alright everyone has their own personal drinking limits. my question is what is a good level of drunkness lol. personaly i like taking about 5 or 6 shots and i'm perfectly evened out for the night. some people get smashed and still get the job done with girls and others dont drink at all. i know this is more of a personal preference question but what do u guys say is the best?? |

I prefer stone sober. Let me explain... Lets say you goto the club/bar and you have a drink or 2 (whatever gets you feeling good). great, you game away and the night goes perfect. The next time you go out you do the same thing, and get the same results...wonderful right? Now lets say you goto an event that you cannot drink at, and its a target rich environment...now you freeze. Why'd you freeze? Because your game and AA is built around being drunk/buzzed...without doing this you cannot game right. PU is all about handleing and overcomming sticking points like AA, by helping ourselves make long term, perminent inner change. So sure you can take the quick route and down a few drinks to loosen up, or you could really promote self change and get over it by improving yourself. So if im out with the boys and not planning to game, i kick back a few drinks...but if im gameing i may have 1 alcoholic drink at most, usually none though (i will carry a soda or seltzer water though). |

I agree with Ka if you need to get drunk to talk to women it will affect your game; especially if you plan on gaming during the day or as Ka has said at events were alcohol isn't served (e.g. coffee shops, malls). In extreme cases it can also lead to dependency; a drink to feel socially comfortable. As I've learned personally I'm better if I'm not drunk. If i have too many drinks I end up talking bollocks to the target, being really vulgar (sexually) and sometimes abusive, swearing more than usual (sometimes in every sentence) I'm also more prone to starting fights with men and DLV a lot by putting my self down and excessively boasting and giving too much away in conversation (e.g. how many people I slept with etc). So as a New Years resolution and as a way of self-improvement I decided to drink less when I'm out from now on: 1-3 drinks max if I'm sarging, if I'm out on a night out for fun I've decided less than 8 would be good, around 5 is probably ideal. What occured to me was I can't handle a lot of drink, as it causes me too act extreme and that was hard to come to terms with as it was like admitting defeat, but now I can deal with it by learning how to speak to people better when I'm sober and being naturally fun to be around. I'm sure you're better at handling it but don't rely on it. Also if you're out sarging I would recommend opening a set before drinking even if it's for practice with no intention of picking-up, just to get used to it. Sorry if it sounds preachy and the length but it's my take and experience. |

Good stuff. I find its sometimes good to open a set or two before i go into the bar just to try and get me in the mood. I would stay away from shots unless thats your thing, i usaully have 2 drinks and stick to coke (a'cola) for the rest of the night. Because one too many can destroy your game. But sometimes just having one can make you more chilled out and too relaxed. I think thats why its good to practice in different area's like eg. liberys and shops, so then when it comes to bars it should be a breeze. |

I generally like to have a Jagerbomb when I show up and then I'll limit myself to 1 drink or less per hour after that and depending on how my energy is doing, I'll either have Rye (generally Crown) and Coke, or more Jagerbombs if I'm getting tired. |

ahh i must throw a curveball in here. We should be practicing our game 24/7, be it the store or the club game should be on to keep us sharp therefore I disagree with you.

i totally agree. when i first turned 21 i would drink to be more social, but now ive realized thats a total waste...it wont help your sober game and it will cost you money. for example: "damn....i spent 30 bucks tonite drinking and paying cover charges, but i didnt even meet anyone!" now u feel all depressed not only because u didnt meet anyone, but u spent money on nothing
