| Post subject: | 6 Lifestyle Tips. |
Ok, I thought It'd be time for a good yet short post here in this section. (because there havn't been that many lately Anyway, Here are 6 Short Lifestyle tips that will help you all a LOT. #1 Get a Social Job, There is nothing wrong with sitting alone at your computer all day (there is actually a LOT thats wrong with it) But it will not give you better social skills because you are not meeting and talking to people. #2 Work out, This one might be obvious but you have to work out. The workout releaves stress and gives you a better body in the long run. #3 Eat healthy, This one is pretty hard but you have to eat healthy. Cook your own meals and make sure you include either potatoes, rice, or pasta. A bit of meat (don't overdo it and make sure it's not red after cooking it). Eat fish once a week. Fresh veggies, A few good ones are Paksoi and paprika. Make sure you Eat 2 pieces of fruit a day, Best to eat are Kiwi's containing the vitamins of 2-3 appels. But also eat appels and other fruit. Always drink atleast a glass of milk (or yoghurt) a day. #4 Always try to learn, Learning is a vital part of life, and is one of the most fun things to do. Try to learn 1 new thing each day. At the moment I am teaching myself Japanese. #5 Meet atleast 1 new person each day. You don't have to be best friends. Just talk a bit about the weather or the game last night. #6 Plan your life! Plan your agenda full even if you might not go, it's good to have a plan. Also Make a list of things you need and want to do each day, and after you did a thing on the list be sure to check it off. |

Not bad 3 hands. I used to be a waiter and bartender. These are good social jobs. Barman has to be one of the best to improve your social skills and you get used to that inviroment and learn alot just from what you see and hear day in day out. If you do have trouble eating healthy like me try making a list so you can make sure your eating a balanced diet. But i can never keep up with it, so im going to have to make a chart and try and stick to it |

Ewww, I will never work in a restaurant again. Not a good job IMO, there are better alternatives for social jobs. Retail... almost any job is social with co-workers unless you work in a cubical. Bartender or barback is also good.I am currently looking for another part time job, I think I might be a server, if for no other reason, than to develope my social skills But I like this post. I really like number 4, as I DO try to learn something every day. Even reading the newspaper every day can help you learn something. |

i'm a pharmacy tech part time at a busy pharmacy.....pharmacists hide while i deal with atleast 75-100 raging mad/kind/flirty/you name it type of person per day (a reg. 8 hr shift) -- you learn to talk and think on ur toes (or your eaten alive) while dealing with the general public which is very diverse...plus u dont need experience (i had absolutely none i'm in my last semester as an economics major) and most pharmacies are dying for part time help. however, most of the people are older ladies 35-50ish -- try to find one with a good mix of ages (like one near a college) usually a CVS -- i work at a rite aid |

yea ive been searching for a new more social job myelf. i work at a grocery store, and run the back departments and sometimes i have no one to even talk to let alone find many customers id like to talk to. Anyone have any suggestions for things besides resturants or bars. Ive been apping to both and havnt heard anything yet. But I know there has to be more. For example, My roomate got a 1 week job (Which isnt hiring) and the begging of the semester at the book/supply store and all he did was work with or help HBs... |

One more thing i would advise is take up a martial art women comprise most adult martial arts classes, and on top of that you develop a skill that gives you more confidence in social situations.. not because you can hurt someone because you feel safe and can provide safety for your woman. |

Wonderful post! I like the fact that you mentioned the importance of getting a social job. I used to work at Journey's shoe store. Very social SPAM. It helped me so much with my social skills. Also, I like how you stressed the importance of learning somethhing new everyday. It helps you become a well rounded person. |
