Just went to Myspace and saw Neil on "Cool New People". His new book is plastered all over the site for advertising (as I'm sure you've seen). Every single person I know has a Myspace account and wants to know about who Neil and Mystery are and what the hype about them is, etc. This PUA thing is turning in to an International rage. I'm curious how it will impact "the game". |

Well think of it like this, if u had the chance to get rich off of something u love doing, Would you? Honestly i dont think its gunna change anything, its all gunna fade away soon. it's just another fad. And another thing... So youre gunna tell me EVERY female that ever heard of a pickup artist is gunna lock themselves up, not go out and have some FUN? get the fuck out dude lol. Theyd have to think every guy that ever talk to her was a PUA. girls love sex just as much as men do, actually more. ;D They're all Closest Freaks. PUA is just....Peacocking =) best way to put it. |

Na i think it would be fucked if everyone knew about it, not fucked' fucked, but fucked up. You would have drop the routines, people would know what you where up to if you opened their set and started negging their hot mate. You have guys everywhere opening girls, so if you did'nt open with something that was'nt out of ordinary they would know you where just 'another one of those guys'. Then you would have to change your game plan completly (well not completly). I thought everyone had swithed to facebook? |

oh i don't blame neil or any of the PUAs that are getting paid for trying to make a buck. if you're an elite at something, why wouldn't you try to get rich? just means we have to try harder because competition will grow, and women are getting more educated on our techniques. of course this won't impact me "getting out there". but i'll be honest and say i'm never going to use the "hey i need a female opinion" opener in a club anymore. it's a total cliché now... in my opinion, that is. might as well pull the "how u doin" or "wazzuuuuuuuup" approach lol. last time i checked, those were pretty played out too. again, just my opinion. of course you can pull them off if done in a cocky funny manner (i believe tyler durdon mastered this one). we should start a new "grave yard" thread to bury some of the classic, but now cliché, openers lol. |

You know what? This stuff is never gonna completely go away. People in the mainstream will continue to be made more aware of it. And there's nothing wrong with that. It will get some good publicity and some bad publicity. Fine. The sky is not falling on us. The game is advancing, that's all it means.

in addition to what trip said, you also have to progress to using your own routines and line because its obvious canned stuff wont work forever, and opinion openers are the first thing that you are going to get caught with if you are worried about people finding out. Anyways, you shouldnt be ashamed to be a PUA, theres more to this than picking up women. It about building character and a lifestyles that impacts more than just this area of life. |

Those things alone will prevent a majority of people from coming over. Like you said it just means that the game will change some, doesn't mean it won't be played anymore. |

I think half the people that see it automatically think its BS. The first time i saw Mehow, i was so skeptical because he look like some gay dude that claimed to get girls, with no proof in the video that i saw at least... Then i youtubed it and found some videos and thats when i found this place |

Honestly I think it might be good for the community, I mean: Adaptation is an important part of the game right? Besides this will force those who stick with the lifestyle to pump out new material, material and techniques that aren't documented, are rarer and perhaps more effective in the long run. Besides the basic platform is to give off a certain vibe, and take advantage of the subconscious of the woman. Anyway, doesn't it go that the more you get rejected the more you get laid? -- Encyclopedia |

I wouldn't worry about it. NOTHING's gonna change. Let me ask you something, how many of you have even looked for books on male seduction? Well... apart from the elite, credit where due. But truth is, I seriously doubt women will actually take the time to read up on all this stuff - because it's a fucking lot of material and committment. Everyone here has spent countless hours reading up on theory, watching seminars, experimenting in the field and discussing pickup on forums. I don't think women would have the motivation to go through all of it. Plus, what good would it do them to be aware of our methods? Pardon the esoteric metaphor, but it's just like finding out how magic tricks work. You stop enjoying them as much once you know exactly what's happening. Why would women want to do this to themselves? Pick up is, to a VERY large extent, about changing yourself and your personality. It's not about knowing a couple secret lines that anyone can drop to get the most beautiful girls (hope nobody has an 'ah-ha' moment here). We all know it takes determination, perseverance and lots and lots of hard work. It's kind of as if we're bodybuilders worrying that once gyms become popular, we'll lose our edge. Gyms are pretty mainstream now, yet guys are still letting themselves go. I have a feeling it's gonna be the same with pickup. People will become aware of it, but ultimately will lack the determination to become any good at it. Or, without really understanding what the arts are about, dismiss them altogether as shallow/manipulative. Just my perspective on the subject. Sarge on, brothers. |
