| Post subject: | First Time Sarge. Nervously Planning... |
Hey guys, I am relatively new to this, and I am thinking about getting into the "game" so to speak. I have eyed a perfect oppurtunity to do some sarging as this weekend I will be at a mates 21st over a whole weekend of bars and clubs. Best of all this is away from my home town so no need to get worried about making a tit of myself! Although I still will need to seek the irish to help me with some minor AA. What I am asking is just for a few tips for a first timer, now I have read lots and lots on here, and am desperately trying to take it all in - does anyone just have a simple way of thinking positively?! lol. cos SPAM I am thinking; Opener/Neg/DHV/.......then I start forgetting and shouting fuck alot, which can be a little weird to HB's near by..... Also I will post my success/fail stories here. Cheers J |

First thing is first this isn't like studying for a test, the more you cram the more it just screws up your brain later. Believe me I've tried cramming listening to a lot of Mystery or David D. before I go out and it doesn't help. The best thing you can do before you go out is relax. Take a nap if you need to. When you are getting cleaned up, play your favorite upbeat music. While you're in the shower, shaving, brushing your teeth, ironing, etc. Get into it get pumped but stay loose. Keep your mind busy so you don't have much time to sweat it. You'll have time for that later. Give yourself a pep talk in the mirror if you need to. Above all else smile the entire time Say to yourself in the mirror: "You are amazing! You radiate charisma, charm, and grace. You stand out from everyone else in the crowd. People love and respect your. It's a priveledge to talk to you. Everything you want is out there, waiting for you!" ---Repeat this as much as you need to until it's internalized. Above is borrowed from Style on Day 5 of his 30 day challenge. Lastly, they are just little girls that don't matter. If you have a bad set eject and keep going! Have Fun & Entertain Yourself!!! You are the man, and do you f ing forget it!!! |

yeah i agree, the best thing to do is just relax. trying to memorize every little thing won't do you any good, it'll only make you tense. plus, no offense, but your first official night sarging isn't likely to bring any HB10's into your room, but it's more of a learning experience |

My first sarge, I had a notepad with my routines. I ended up standing in a corner AFC style rehersing my routines. Doesnt get much worse than that. Then I just thought, F that and went into the sets, practiced opening and ejecting. Mainly crash and burns but thats ok, you learn a lot, let me repeat that, a lot, by practicing and facing your fears! Get out there and have fun practicing, the key is to learn not to care about the rejections! Ezo |

Make this easy for yourself. First time I went out with a PUA he said 'The first one thousand approaches does not count'. Easier said than done, but somehow he was incredibly convincing when he said that (I suspect some NLPing happened there). Just remember the 3 second rule and open, open, open. After a few warm up sets your AA pretty much goes away. It's gonna be back next time you go out, but after 5 quick opinion openers you'll feel completely different. And the warm-up sets can be ugly or even all guys, seriously doesn't matter. They're there to get you in a talkative mood and show to other sets you are a sociable person. Then it's on. |
