i will agree that porn doesn't help, and this is an interesting talk.
but i think just like "potheads," "smokers," "drinkers..." a lot of people do it sparingly, and thus don't exhibit the symptoms. a cigar a week won't fuck up your lungs, getting smashed once a week won't melt your liver, and smoking a bowl a week won't make you give up on life.

although yes, we should worry about people who jerk it like 3 or 4 times a day. but as long as you keep your life in check, you won't get "addicted" by their standards.

I think looking at the people in that room is giving me ED. Addiction is addiction. It has nothing to do with porn specifically. Although, porn can become an addiction. What I think the most important thing to take away from this is how the Internet enables addiction to take hold more quickly than it does in the analog world. Sites like fb, twitter, tumblr, and other socially acceptable sites instill just as much of a pavlovian drive with clicking and a constant stream of content. So, I find it difficult to take this ass hat seriously, but it does make me wonder why I bother holding down a job and am not out spreading agenda laced talks to rooms of knee-jerk reactionaries. I watch porn AND I get laid. Deal with it.

Good find, Love TED. This guy had me at "porn harem" I think its something very interesting to look into. Its obvious by the fed back on this forum that there is something to this. I wouldnt say Ive ever been addicted to anything, porn included, but I did find myself getting bored when I had a GF. I read about the Coolege Effect on Steve P's website. This was huge to me. I better understood why I craved more women even tho I had a hot one. This video shows even further that porn doesnt help. THere is no substitution for just getting out there and getting you some strange!

Agreed man, good thoughts. I cut my porn intake down to once sitting every couple of weeks and even then not just click a bunch of scenes. Its really helped. I dont get bored with my FB.
