Dont you just hate it/love it when life throws you a curveball! I've been using POF as my main source of HB action for a while due to my hectic scedual and I've had lots of successful lays! However recently I've been becoming a bit disheartened with not finding a girl that is really interesting. You know the type that can be your girl but also chat about politics, art, music and world affairs. All the girls I've been meeting recently on and off POF seem to just like Lady Gaga and have never heard of the second world war! One didnt even know that France had beaches... So last week I was in a different city for an hour. It's across the border from where I live (about 1.5 hours drive), when I get a message on POF from a gorgeous HB9 Brazilian girl that lives in the city I was visiting! Was pretty random as I popped up on her search because we both have our phones on gps positioning so it said I was nearby. Needless to say we hit it off really well and I went down to visit her today. She's coming up next week. I've not connected with a girl like this in a long time and Its restored my faith that there are girls out there that are pretty, down to earth and very much clued in to lots of interesting subjects! Why does she have to live 1.5 hours away lol?! I've long preached that LDR's are a load of shit but damn I feel like I'd be an idiot not to see where it leads especially due to the random set of circumstances in which she introduced herself! Life never makes things easy lol |

1.5 hours by car? I would not say it qualifies as LDR. you will certainly not see each other every day, but it's not like you can only date once a month. spend the weekends together, and wisely use sleepovers. South Bay to SF on a Friday night on the 101 is pretty much that long of a commute |

I'm with Seagull. That's not an LDR. I'm in Florida, I have major feelings for a lady in San Francisco - but we'll never go anywhere with it. THAT would be a LDR. Fuck that. We decided to not pursue anything a couple of years ago. C'est La Vie. An hour and a half can be done - easily. Sarge on! RR |

Thanks guys! It's good to here another perspective. The dating culture where I live is very local. A 40 min drive would be a push. Guess it's because it's a small country so no one is used to vast distances. In the US your talking the distance between Neighbouring towns. Where I live it's crossing into a different country lol but that's Europe for you. Plus I'm not getting vibes that this one wants to shit on my face! Winning |

Thats my rule too! But I thought last night that I can meet this girl at the weekends and still see others closer to home during the week! If she brings up being exclusive then I'll have to answer that based on how things are going and how easy/tough I've found it. Worth a shot though as for the first time in a while a girl actually interests me! I miss that feeling. The ones I've been dating recently have been lovely but I've always thought that I'm not on the same wavelength. Think that comes from my upbringing. Not many will of had a similar upbringing as me so finding common ground can be tough. |
