Post subject:  How long to keep numbers?

In the past, I would always delete numbers that stopped talking to me after 3-4 days. Now I try to keep them for a few weeks, messaging them once every 1-2 or 2-3 weeks. After I've done this a couple times, if I get no response, then I delete the numbers (so about 1 1/2 - 2 months of inactivity). I try to keep it to 1 text a week or 2 but willpower not so good there. I've found that (surprise) the more numbers I have, the less I text/worry about the dead ones.

How long does everyone else wait? Is there a typical text you send them when you try to re-engage (giggity)? I make it as though they didn't stop texting in the first place - nothing like where have they been, why did they stop, etc.

Sometimes I get numbers, but more often I get Facebooks.

Reasons
1. You can learn about her to be able to close her later
2. You can communicate with her in more ways then just "hey, wut up.." with things like pictures, videos, links, etc.
3. You can work Facebook's algorithms such that you start appearing in their feeds, which if you post stuff they find interesting it can make you look interesting.
4. You can work them asynchronously, you don't need direct responses always

If I don't close in a night, I always get Facebook accounts first and numbers second. They're just more effective than numbers.

How do you work algorithms on FB?

For some of them I have their FB's and their last names but they either went from FB to texting or most are from POF/OKCupid to texting. And I either can't find their profiles anymore or it would be weird to message them on there since it feels like going back to square 1.

If a girl stops responding to you then I would simply delete her number.trust me these types of girls are not worth the hassle

I used to but a lot of stuff I've been reading lately says to keep the numbers because the girl might have been in a different frame of mind (had a bf, family issues, wanted to be single, etc.)

I agree completely. Honestly there are bigger and better things to do with your time than just wait for them to text. And I've tried "reengaging" after a long period of time girls that I had been texting and have had little success.

Every answer he should be unique. Keep a number as long as you want.

Why delete a number if no harm is done, does it play on your mind a girl does not respond or contact you? If so, work against that and learn not to give a fuck! She may reply/message one day, even if not interested play some games, dictate the way things go the same way women try to with us.

Work on adding numbers guys, not deleting ;)
