Post subject:  Facial Structure Similarities.
I don't give a fuck if this has been discussed before or not , but in essence "Soul Mates" have similar facial structures.

Have you ever had a girl that made you think "She is special" ?

She is special , she is like this because both of you share the same facial structure and just like you are attracted to her , she is attracted to you.

Thinking back the only 2 women I actually had a connection with share the same smile and eye shape as me.

I am posting this because I stumbled upon an old photo and I could not help but see that we both shared the same smile , even the teeth are the same shape and size.

In her case I didn't even had to "hit" on her , she was the one that grabbed the phone from my hand and typed the her number. She was part of my "summer social circle" at the time.

It may come as a surprise to some , but we actually been dating 5 months before we had sex.

The summer ended and it turned into a long-distance relationship , we had a fight which I could had turned it around , but it wasn't worth it.

Needless to say I cheated like a mad dog , but still those 10 months were great.


Thinking back I'm sure you all agreed those women that made an impact on your life looked in a way or another like you.

I am going through a "don't care" period and basically I've gained weight , stopped shaving and my hair is short and full of dandruff.

This has an effect on the way women act around me :

1 year ago I would get approached 1-3 times a night when I had my long blond hair , but now it happens very rare.

Thinking about the days I went out in a suit , they were just pointless , but I looked gorgeous.

Maybe I should start searching for a job and stop frequenting this forum.

Is there any proof of that face theory other than that anecdote you shared? I can imagine it could have some scientific validity as there was a study where people rated members of the opposite sex who looked more like themselves (doctored photos) as more attractive than those who looked unlike them.

Based on what I've read on the internet would it be Familiarity? It has to stereotyping I believe. Basically you see someone that looks like you in the subtle ways(the man in the mirror facial features) you immediately feel a connection and rapport because you feel as though you would share similar interests, and be compatible to a certain level.

It's like you see a girl who looks like your crazy clingy ex, you begin, having doubts on whether or not you want to have anything to do with her.

Stereotyping has a huge impact on first impressions.

However, if we are thinking , same and different. There is also that theory about humans being heterogeneous (if that's how you spell it) and wanting things that are different. Hence the "opposites attract" theory?

There is plenty of evidence that people who have a similar level of facial attractiveness will be attracted to one another. There are plenty of other studies on that site and work is on-going, so I thought I'd post it up for everyone in case in turns out to be useful.
