Sparknotes version of my situation: almost a year ago I first discovered pickup philosophy. I thought I figured it all out quickly, and was proven wrong soon enough. My main issue has been logistics, as I moved home with my mom after finishing school. In the past six months, however, I've made a lot of progress. 1. New job, with a real salary. I still work part time though at a second job. 2. New car...well it's used, but it is new for me. 3. Apartment, and that's where things get interesting. Two months from today, I will be moving into an apartment in the city. This will beat the "living with mom in the suburbs" setup that I've had for the past year or so. I am standing on the edge of complete independence, and the ability to commit substantially greater amounts of my time and energy to learning. So I come to you guys with a question that has been on my mind for a few days now. Should I take the next two months and focus more on preparing myself for being in the city by working out, saving my money, etc, or would I be better served going out as much as possible, practicing my game? It is possible to do both, sure, but due to the limited free time I have now, it seems smarter to focus on one. I'd rather have one handled very well than both seeing a little improvement. Also, any ideas for my apartment to become the ultimate bachelor pad are welcome, though that is not the main goal of this post. I am more looking for an idea of what the best direction would be to go in next. |

Prepare yourself for real life and then worry about the women once your settled in the city. You will have reasons to go out and make friends when you are on your own. I live with my GF but still decorated to suit me. My place shines pieces of my personality through that normally aren't displayed. For instance, people who don't know me well percieve me as an ass and apperance wise look like a jock. My apartment has a big library, cool art I picked up cheap while traveling, sweet furniture and crazy looking tropical plants. All this crap displays that I have personality depth and strikes up conversation because people are always surprised and interested. My point is that while you pull a women being all smooth and sauve, you can get her to your place and she will see the personality depth you actaully have and her panties will fly off! Think of your place as a resume that shows of who you are (That sounds kinda homo). All this stuff will work because you will be meating new groups of people in the City and it will be instant interest raiser if say a group of people come by for a drink. Watch some home decor shows despite how gay they are, good shit man! Other things I would suggest to have around -Center pieces of interest (peacocking I suppose) art, statues, coffee tables ect.. -Candles (for mood and scent) -Some girly movies -Music Make sure you stop living like a student with your boxers and kraft dinner boxes all over the place. I don't know if any of that helps but I felt like spitting thought to paper. |
