My whole take on this calling vs texting is very simple. You use calling when you actually want to hear her voice, and you use texting when you don't.

When would you want to actually hear a woman's voice? Depends. Some girls i've met had the sexiest voices on the phone, and if their was an opportunity to talk to them on the phone I took it.

However, our culture today, at least in Canada/USA is all about twitter, facebook, and texting. We enjoy communicating through technology that is not very personal(this is a contradiction-i.e. women will give you their facebook more willing than their phone numbers, however most of the time, the facebook will be way more personal.) So you just roll with it, and like skill360 demonstrated you go from meet to fuck without any of the in between.

Hey! I know what you mean, my point is that when you call her you have much more information to work with. Specially if you are calling her for the 1st time and your plan is to have a date with her. You can "sell" the date or the meeting much better if you call her. Right?

Your right. Mainly because the phone call makes it more personal. It's add depth to a conversation and the girl feels a little more special. Think of it this way.
Would you rather have someone text you "happy birthday" or actually call you and say "happy birthday." That latter just seems more personal and genuine.

However, skills360 is right. Texting adds efficiency to the mix. And if your at a stage were your talking to 3+ girls at once. YOU DON'T want to call each one of them for many reasons,- Time consuming, more room for screwing up, mixing up names and shit lol.-

As long as you keep in mind the each mode of communication has a purpose, and if that purpose helps your goal, than your in the green.

Girls sometimes read your text when they're at work and forget to text back, if this happens several times and you don't know how to handle it properly you can sound really needy.

On the other hand, girls can't always pick up the phone cause they're busy, so sending a text is better.

If a girl didn't respond to me via text I always used to send the same message again or keep trying her - this I found was a huge mistake, and as you clearly said makes people look extremely needy. I have now found that if for whatever reason she doesn't reply then I just leave it and wait - more often than not the girl is usually busy doing something and just hasn't the time to text back. He who cares the least has the most power.

That's the idea , you have to be patient one thing is proving that you are interested and another showing that you are needy.

Definitely. In fact this girl I have been on a few dates with knows I like her and I know the feeling is reciprocated and she told me the other day that what she liked about me was that I am not obsessive, I don't bombard her with message after message and I don't care that she lives her own life. She has been so used to obsessive guys who want to spend every waking second with her so meeting me was refreshing.

It was great for me because I have always seemed to struggle with coming across too needy. Not anymore!
