ppl think peacocking is rediculous now because to many ppl did it and there are newer guru's/idea's on the market.

that being said now that it isent as overused anymore i think it CAN still work... depending on the venue and country you go out in...

Surely if you're basing your peacocking item on someone else, then it's not really peacocking, it's becoming simply "fashion"?

The whole point of peacocking is to have a slightly quirky unusual item that is pretty much unique to you (and if not unique then at least something you're not going to see every single day of the week).

If you go out with that, then you can make it work still. It's just a conversation starter.

This is the all too common "It is cool to pretend to be better than Mystery Syndrome". At a certain stage, when people outgrow the training-wheels of the MM they turn back and say, hey wtf was I doing?? Or they consider themselves to be natural and think that everyone using indirect game are stupid and weak and that the only thing you need is balls.

This post just about sums it up:
the-methods-vt121024.html?highlight=methods

Peacocking without understanding what you are doing is just ridiculous but if you truly understand what it is, nobody would say that you are really peacocking.

Nothing wrong with the idea of 'peacocking'

It's just how it tends to turn out that can be very questionable indeed.

Or

explain me how the natural acting all 'alpha' is any different from a guy wearing a tophat&goggles.

I don't think I'm better than Mystery, but I think peacocking is part of a personality, it's not something everyone can pull off or should try to pull off. It's part of the whole aura.

The big problem with the pick-up community is the belief that one model can fit every person. Every person is different and has a different approach, and a lot of guys haven't learned their approach, or don't understand themselves enough so they try things, but if you feel uncomfortable about something, others will feel uncomfortable about it as well.

Locking this thread.
1) Use the search function on the forum. Things like this come up so often it is crazy
2) The lounge is a place for discussion on PUA. This topic is essentially the same as "Today, I realised the grass is green"; it doesn't give discussion, it just gives people making statements. If you want to have a discussion about peacocking/MM/fashion then please word your post in a way that encourages debate.
