Post subject:  5 Things that annoy me about women at bars

I once posted about pet peeves, it got a lot of attention so I thought I would do this.

Are there things women do at bars/clubs/parties that will immediately turn you off? No matter how hot or cool she seems, things that will obliterate any desire you had to talk to her, much less fuck her? I have a short list of things that will immediately sap my interest in a girl. Yes...I'm picky, I know

1. Random pictures: This is the one that got me a lot of negative attention last time, so why not lead with it? I absolutely hate when girls ask me to take their picture. If it's a special occasion, birthday, holiday, etc, I will suck it up and take a pic if someone asks. What I hate, though, is when a group of girls asks for you to take their picture because it's Friday, and they need 20 more photos to add to the 30,000 they already have of weekend nights out on facebook. If I'm not the girl's friend, I will say no if they ask for me to be picture-bitch :)

2. Tiaras: Women wearing tiaras, and to a lesser extent crowns, are always trouble. Women only put these on when they plan on getting extremely wasted

3. Drinking contests with dudes: Ever have a girl challenge you to chug beers or go shot for shot? There is a very short list of women that can drink on pace with men, in my life anyways, and those 3 girls do not challenge everybody to do that. Women who challenge me to drink are wasted 4 shots later crying.

4. Fat friends: Ever notice that when women wing, its always about tricking guys into talking to/dancing with/seeing their fat friend? It's awful lol. We've all been there if you are going to a club, there's a group of girls and you start talking to one, and they all practically throw the linebacker girl. At least when dudes wing we (should, anyways) make it clear who is the one interested in talking to her, as opposed to girls who will flirt with you then pull a bait n switch!

5. Asking for favors as strangers: I hold doors open, I make an effort to let people by as I walk through a bar. I'm not a dick. But when girls ask me to buy them a drink, or to let them in front of me in a line, I say no. It bugs me that some girls assume that, for being female, they are entitled to that shit

So that was a minor rant. In pickup, these are situations I will have to deal with often just by going out so often as I have started doing. Are there things that bother you that women do when they go out? Do you disagree? How do you deal with women that commit any of these...let's call them faux pas?

I've been reading 'paying drinks' so much I really want to know... Is it an American thing for girls to demand you pay them a drink if you talk to them? In all of the time I've been gaming (say six months now) I've only once had a girl supposing I paid her a drink. In my country we pay friends drinks and we pay on dates. That's it.

And yeah, I understand your point. When I see a bachelor party passing by I wanna jump in a river or something.

If you go out, this is the kind of behavior you can expect to deal with.

It's better not to focus on it, you can't control what other people do, there's no point in getting annoyed over it, because it's always going to happen.

Number fucking two!

Anytime I see a chick wearing a crown I just avoid her. Sometimes their an easy lay but they usually just want attention and are almost always annoying as hell.

Once 3 girls asked me to take a picture with them, because they liked the way I look. And instead of regecting them ( I hate saying no ) I simply said: for how much? I wouldn't take money from girls, so far they've all left after I said that as expected, but it's good fun seeing their reaction :D try it sometime

1. Can this not be turned into something positive? Possibly some form of 'opener'?

2. Pleading guilty to some extent on this one, nothing wrong with a little accessorizing, I think it's referred to as 'pea-cocking' around here. A piece of silver head-wear can hardly be used to judge whether a woman is trouble or an "easy lay" though. Nor is it an indicator that I plan on getting wasted.

3. Trashed women are a mess, I try to exercise a certain amount of self control when drinking, I'll agree with this; I don't get why some women try to do this as alcohol affects women in smaller quantities than it does men. A disaster waiting to happen.

4. This is one of those things that is not solely part of women's culture, we all have friends that have trouble 'getting it right' with the opposite sex and I think those people who care enough for their friends often try to help their friends be more successful in this matter.

5. I don't personally behave this way, although I'm appreciative of 'gentlemanly' guys that will do things like hold a door open and let women pass before he does.

If you really feel that a girl is 'hot' or 'cool', I would have thought you would have a level of interest that would let you see beyond such trivial behavioral quirks. Am I wrong in thinking this?

Ain't nothing wrong with this man. For me i love it when women ask me to take their photo for them and it's easier for you to OPEN set(s) at the club/bar.

2. Tiaras: Women wearing tiaras, and to a lesser extent crowns, are always trouble. Women only put these on when they plan on getting extremely wasted

Not exactly some of them are just wearing that and just wants to have fun and maybe they just want to look cool with those tiaras and maybe they feel like a princess or something?

This is fun because you already know who's gonna get drunk ;)

I know people are not patient. If she's hot then you can get her money and then buy her the drink and open her.

Dumb as the picture is, throwing your self in the middle of it without prior solicitation is a good opener. And it shows you immediately if they're half as fun as their facebooks show. If they roll with it, they're open. If the get aggro, the whole "we're so cool and wild and fun" bit is an act.

And tiaras are a roughly as attractive as herpes...

The pictures...oh god the pictures XD

If it's MY friends, I'll eat it and just take the pic, but if it's strangers then I ask them why on earth would they hand me, a guy they just met, an expensive camera/phone in a dimly lit bar or nightclub

As for my Belgian friend up there, I'm American Born, but have dual citizenship elsewhere and lemme tell you, the amount of entitlement that some of these girls who frequent the nightlife around here have is ridiculous.

In the US there's this retarded notion that if a girl asks you to buy a drink it means she's somehow interested. In reality, it just means she's smart enough to see the chump who will supply her with that night's 3rd long island.

I worked as a bartender here for a little while, and I saw that crap happen ALL the time. The worst is when the girls will talk about "the creep" that bought Julie (fake name for sake of rant) a martini following her around even though the poor sap honestly thought he had a shot.

Man I see things that annoy me in many places and scenarios... so what.

Even this post annoys me a bit.

But you have a couple of options...

1) Let it bother you, go and find other girls who dont do these things.

2) Acknowledge it and perhaps mention it, but dont let it bother you, and continue going about what you are doing.

I just used option 2 for this reply.

Haha, oh fun times. I feel like it's worth addressing that I don't go into a rage if any of these happen.

I saw a girl come into the bar last night wearing a tiara, I had just explained these rules to the guys I went out with. I didn't freak out, I just said "noooooooooo it's a tiara" and we went to another bar where I forgot about it for the rest of the night

Imagining you walking into a bar and loudly saying "NOOOOOO it's a tiara!" bought me a whole lot of amusement. If you ever do that in real life, you would be my freakin hero.

In Belgium apparently it's a habit for bachelors (both male and female) to sell stuff. I always make it my personal task to start hitting really hard on the female bachelor. It's as fun as fun can get.

I agree, chin up. But if you anticipate, you know what to do when those things 'crop up'.
