How to enter her world and show dominance or Being an expert without knowing shit or Sounding cool in girly subjects Inspired by a girl I met a while ago. Basically, this girl is kinda an artist, painting stuff and whatnot. Fact is that most girls have some kind of interest that borders on the artistic side to which I count new age and spirituality and shit since they are totally girly things based on emotions and stuff that guys dont give a rats ass about normally. So talking to this girl I realize that the only subject we have in common that I can stand hearing about for more than five minutes without wanting to kill myself is art. I do a quick scan of her personality and I find that she is very emotional and channels this through her art. Bingo. Thing is, I dont know shit about art or art history or colors or whatever. But that doesnt stop me. She tells me about some boring painting she did once with dark stuff or whatever, colors and pink flowers and shit and as I try not to show that I wanna get it over with and do the horizontal fandango I come up with an idea. The dark stuff and the emotions can definately be framed in a sexual manner. So I stop her train of thought and tell her, ok that painting was pretty impressive, but you know what I would like to create. As you see in your painting it looks like the flowers are born out of darkness to create some balance between... I dont know but it becomes harmonic in a way... Anyway I would like to see a painting where you can visualize the different forms of darkness, like aggression and pain coming together to meld together in an eruption of colors, like something new is born, full of passion. The two negative parts compensate each others flaws and you understand that within them they had the potential to create something wonderful with the help of the right corresponding negativity. All of this is BS of course but she bought it. Now she thinks that I understand art better than her. What did I wanna say with this? I wanted to tell you that when it comes to stuff like art and emotional things, you cant go wrong. There is only one sure way to be wrong and that is to hesitate. You are entitled to your own opinion and you can say whatever BS you want as long as you sound like you know what you are talking about. Knowing this, you can enter her world (her favorite emotional subject) and lead her, teach her something. Tell her whatever you feel like and sound as if you know what you are talking about. You are NOT lying, you are just telling her what you BELIEVE (there is no right or wrong) and SOUND like you know what you are saying. Who knows maybe she gets something out of it too. I come to realize that this is exactly how the world works. Experts dont necessarily know best, we just assume that they do because they sound like that and wear a suit. |

Hahaha this is brilliant! It reminds me of Russell Brand a bit, how he just spouts a load of shite in his films like Get Him to the Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. So true though, this post deserves a bump. As long as you believe in yourself, you can do whatever you want. |

lol I enjoyed this post a lot... funny, informative. There is this thing in Russian PUA community caller "BS generator" as far as I know its a skill they train to effectively BS. I've done some competitive improvisational public speaking and my advise on BSing would be connect whatever you hear(not necessarily even the point of convo but even may be an aspect) to whatever you're knowledgeable in. Make theories that make at least SOME sense(most people aren't criticall thinkers) or fun comparison...one of my favorites..."Life without love is like french fries without ketchup...pointless." Also, emotional talk is awesome for fractianation. You can go from one mood to another in a matter of seconds. and you're right about confidence, even if you have no expertise in it. Often times people follow leaders who lead them to fail simply because they sound confident(although they're more careful next time if the leader is a complete failure) |
