Post subject:  Music festival in the woods - great training ground
I spent a summer a few years back just volunteering at music festivals. I'm talking about the crazy ones that go for like 3 or 4 days. Usually there are woodsy areas for camping and a creek for skinny dipping.

Great things:

1. Practically free.
2. Loads of girls, already scantily clad.
3. Having sex is accepted as normal behavior.
4. Lots of fun.

But the best thing of all is that it allows an opportunity to see full blown adolescent regression in practice. It starts kind of like high school where everyone is introducing themselves, learning their way around "campus". As a volunteer you are instantly one of the in crowd. As paid ticket holders show up, you can get them into special areas or at least you know where the cool spots are.

But I digress. Usually the other volunteers are hot college age chicks. They are your main target. Or at the very least can be pivots for meeting other chicks. But you get to have lots of mini dates if you want. You can play chicks off each other, you can try all sorts of things. But the best thing is to go along with the childhood regression that happens to one degree or another with most people there. Glow sticks in the woods, hula hoops, drumming, guitars around the campfire... Girls start acting like they are in kindergarten. You can do less of the formal introductions. You just go up to someone and say "cool hat" or "cool glow stick". Or have you tried the blank they are so tasty. Or you can just go straight up to a chick you have never met and make a joke about the fairy costume she is wearing. (yes there are fairy festivals). At a hippy festival its expected that you will talk to strangers and they will come up and talk to you. You are almost forced to get out of your shell.

It enabled me to see things differently when I am in a regular bar now. I can go more into that regressive mind state and women pick up on it instantly. Or at the very least it gives me the confidence to know that everyone has that side to them if they are in the right setting. Deep down inside everyone is that little boy or girl who doesn't care about clothes brand or career, or car.... And it allows me to have a stronger frame. This bar is boring let me see what I can say or do to get these people to lighten up...

Anyhow, look for a cool festival online. Make sure it is something that seems like it won't just be a bunch of old people. Then go to the volunteer info page. Make sure its a festival that has housing or camping onsite. Request the gig at least a week or two in advance. The really great ones you need to schedule a month or more ahead. Try to arrive on thursday or friday so that you have plenty of time to get to know the people who run it and meet other volunteers.

As an example, check out Faerie Worlds, Oregon Country Fair, Mystic Garden Party, etc. Those are west coast, but other fests happen all over the place.

One more thing. Have fun and don't get one-itis. Its easy to end up chasing one chick because she was nice to you. But I have made that mistake a lot at these things and its usually the guy who flows with it and bounces from girl to girl who ends up scoring. You can see it in action so well... I swear I saw the progression of me and this other guy. I got this one chick stuck in my head because we traded massages and then went skinny dipping. There were other chicks into me but I got one itis anyhow. He on the other hand played it cool and was just hangin with one chick after the other. Finally sunday night this hot blonde chick literally opened her blouse for him right there near the stage and they started making out. As I recall he got some that night.
