| Post subject: | My first non lay report |
It has gotten to the point in my life that if I don't take a girl home at the end of the night I don't think of it as a good night, as my New Years resolution I aim to change that. So that brings us to tonight. I'm out meeting some friends in a local trendy type bar for drinks. I do my usual look around the room but instead of being a homing missle and heading straight over to the first woman I think I can get with I take my time. I make eye contact with a cute, shortish, red head at a table three across from ours, just long enough to share a smile with her and look back at my friends. She was sitting with 3 girls and 2 dudes, they all looked like the arty type so I was guessing the guys were either gay or I could alpha male the crap out of them. Instead of heading over to the table I got a good moment where we had both finished our drinks and headed to the bar, she walked passed. I initially thought it was a missed moment and I'd have to open the table, something I hate doing when there is no free space to sit (I find it so easy to get into a group with a free seat, basically walk up and say "Excuse me is this seat free?" when they say it is, sit down and say "thanks, so how are you all doing? I'm Dave"). But whilst I was waiting she came back to the bar and stood next to me. I opened with a statement about the bar staff and how they must spend all their tips on tattoos. She pointed out so must I (I'm fairly covered in ink). I imediatley asked if she had any ink in a cheeky way. She did, some chinese type thing on her hip, I put it down saying it was a bit unorigonal. Introduced myself, got her name got my drinks and said I'd come over and say hi after I had given some drinks to my friends. About 10-20 mins later, I headed over and said "oh hi xxxx, so are you going to introduce me to your friends?" pulled up a chair and sat down and shook everyones hand and started talking to one of the guys to her left (I was on her right so talking over her) about his media project, some sort of animation thing. After a little while she said she was going to get a drink, I joke that mine was a beer. She did that little 'ha sure' thing and off she went, carried on talking to the dude. 5 mins later she comes back with a bottle of beer for me and sits on the left side of me as I had moved to talk to the guy I was chatting with. I thank her and carry on talking to the guy. She seems a little annoyed so I go back to chatting to her. Small talk, general stuff about what she does, where she is from ect. At this point the guy asks "Wait you guys don't know each other?", "Not yet" I reply and turn back to her. I put a hand on her knee in response to some comment she made that I laughed at, let it linger for a minute. She responded well to it and had quite open body language so I did it more and more. It got close to the closing time of the bar, it's around this time I usually make some sort of move to seperate her from the group and go to theirs or mine. Instead I went with "So you should give me your number so we can meet up later in the week" she got her phone out and gave me her number. I said I'd call her, kissed on the cheek and said goodbye to the group. Returned to my friends and we then left. I felt good and didn't get laid, this is an interesting feeling but I am actually looking forward to having a date. |
