okay here's the thing.
i was out the other day to a local bar and i opened an HB8. She seemed very receptive and okay with me being there, but her guy friends were clearly not amused. Anyways, during the interaction, what happened was that one of the guy would make a sarcastic remark and all the other guy would literally team up against me and laugh at the remark. When I, in turn makes fun of one of the guys, they do not laugh or anything. Though I blew the set, I had a valuable experience.

ALL PUA's out there: how would you tackle this situation?! Remember, I was alone and din't have a wing.

I don’t have a massive amount of experience with this to be honest BUT I normally just ignore it, don’t acknowledge the remark at all and continue where I left off. So long as you don’t buy into anyone else’s frame you should be golden. I’ll throw a quite recent example, went something but not exactly like this.

We were in a club (like where I spend my life these days love night game) and I open this 3 set.
Me: YO! You guys look like loads of fun, c'mon gimme a high five (I almost always open with this in night game 99% of sets open).
We all high five girl laughs guys chuckle a little. We chat a little about the venue, where's good to go next, name's etc.
Me: Oh me and a few of my mates got together the other day and hit XYZ restaurant, I swear to god they serve the best chips in the world! Who would have thought an Italian resteraunt would serve the perfect chips. I'm guessing you enjoy dining out?
Girl: God yes! I can’t cook what so ever, comes with being a student.
Me: Ah super noodles and chips for you then! I actually make a pretty decent coq au vin.
She bursts out laughing; I just look at her like she's weird.
Girl: Have you ever seen inbetweeners?
By now the guys realise im not going anywhere and know where this is going.
Me: Ha yea the dinner party sketch is pretty weak though, love the field trip episode.
Guy come's out with some weak insult about how I could relate to the characters. (the shows about some unpopular kids in school and some of the random things they get upto).
I take a step about a foot to my left so the back of her head is to the guys and continue with my set and start steal lines and make jokes from the show.

The guys didn’t steal focus, I kept my happy frame/state and the set ended up well. Wasn't sure how to much detail to add in here for my point to be useful but I hope you get the idea.
