Hey, I'm very new to the community, and I did my first approach yesterday, here is how it went. ME: Hey, I need to get a female opinion on something. HB: OK ME: Who do you think lies more, guys or girls? HB: Guys ME: Most girls who say that tend to have been in some bad relationships HB: Nope, never been in a bad relationship ME: I'm going to have to disagree with you saying guys though, I think girls lie more about the little stuff, like age, weight and height. HB: Well, I can only speak for myself. ME: Well, thanks. OK, the first mistake I think I made was that this girl was on her way to a college class, and most likely didn't want to be late. My body was facing her completely, while SHE was talking to me over her shoulder. Didn't set a time constraint, etc. Anyways, I was hoping you PUAs could help me by telling me what you would do in this situation to get a more positive outcome. |

Ok, your rejoinder to her answer probably wasn't best. You basically told her that she's been in a bad relationship, which I'd kinda find insulting. It also didn't really keep up the interaction because she was able to say "no" so easily, as in, shut it down. Have more fun with it! A good way to build a conversation is by having rapport. A good way to build rapport is to laugh and tease. Maybe a better answer was just, "Why do you say that?". Maybe she says, "Oh, my brother is such a terrible liar." Then you tease, "Oh, so now all men are getting judged by your brother, man you're harsh!" or something along those lines. Though I have to criticize the basics here... you're focusing on the itty bitties like body rolls and FTC's, when the real culprit is the conversation. You need to walk before you run. Meaning, either learn to routine stack, where you can thread multiple openers, or go natural and just learn good conversation techniques. |
