| Post subject: | The bar waitress I've counted myself out twice on |
So, there is this waitress at the bar I go to regularly. She is, basically, what inspired me to find the community. It was her giving me straight forward no bullshit IOIs and me not knowing how to handle it which led me to search the internet for tips on how to handle her. I went through a bunch of BS then I found DYD. After that, I found the community. I've read MM, DYD, and JM since, and have been practicing. I really am a natural at DYD stuff when I'm comfortable with someone, but that could take weeks. So my main obstacle was approaching confidently and being confident enough to be my cocky funny self right upfront. I went in one night full of confidence and did a total AFC approach. But I was proud I approached her. I got blown out of course, but not LJBF'ed. She said we could talk to the bar after I told her I wanted her phone number "just to talk to her". But I wrote her off. One night, I went to the bar and on my way out she gave me shit about leaving early and winked at me. I just walked out. Next time in, it was clear to me that my not making a move fucked me over, because she was not talkative and seemed to avoid me. So I counted myself out again. So, a few nights ago, I'm back at the bar. I'm outside smoking (I always sit and drink at the bar but have to smoke outside) and she comes up and asks me "Are you doing allright, name that rhymes with mine but isn't mine?". I say I'm good, and she moves on, she's really busy at this time. At the end of the night when they are clearing out the bar, the waitress was out cleaning up the patio by herself. I ask the bartender if she minds me going out there and bugging her waitress for a few minutes. She's cool with it. I go out and say goodbye to the waitress, and she says goodbye back. I turn like I'm about to leave and then, touching her stomach with the back of my hand for just a slight second, I say "Out of curiosity, who told you my name?" "You did"- her "No, I didn't, I never tell anybody my name"- me, being playful "well, you told me mister"- her, being playful as well "I KNOW I didn't tell you my name, because whoever you asked, lied to you"-me smiling "Oh yeah, what IS your name then?"-Her "What do you think it is?"-me "name that rhymes with yours but isn't"-her "see, somebody lied to you, that's not my name"-me She then starts guessing my name. She actually got it on the second or third try, but I still told her she didn't have it. I touched her uppper arm and told her that it was okay, she would simply have to figure it out. I was standing holding the door open, by left arm was out as well, and she stepped in and hugged me, good. She whispers in my ear that the bartender would tell her. As she pulled out of the hug, she paused, at kissing distance, and I missed it. But I didn't realize that until later. I head inside, go straight to the bartender and told her not to tell the waitress my name. As soon as I do that the waitress comes in to the bar and says "Bartender, what's his name? He told me it was Gilgamesh!". The bartender says "You're on your own on that one" She comes to me and asks me my name again. I tell her that it wasn't that easy, she has to at least tell me a funny joke. She couldn't think of one. She goes off to clean tables and the bartender gives me the thumbs up, and I wish her goodbye. On teh way out, I touch the waitress's lower back and say "Okay, you've earned it, my name is PUA". She said "Hey I guessed that" I said "Yeah, but this was more fun" She said "See you Sunday?" I said "Maybe, if you're lucky and you behave" winked at her and walked out of the bar. So now I look forward to Sunday. I may go, I may not go Sunday and show up on a random day. |
