Post subject:  FR: NEED critiques; had to bail after getting IOIs
HB 7 I met online turns out to be a smokin' hot HB 8.5 in person tonight :P . The date itself was going GREAT, but I had to kill the mood early. This is where I need some critiques on what I did right, and what I did wrong.


Straight the point: we're clicking, and things heat up when we get to a bar to hang out after all the getting-to-know-you talk is done. I start negging her a little as soon as I've built up a good vibe, and she starts getting REALLY fun. ;) Then I see her stroking her beer glass while looking at me. Playing with her hair. I leave to go to the bathroom, and when I come back her lips are all nice and glossed; super sexy. I'm thinking: all signals are good, now's the time to start some kino and ditch the bar asap.


BAM. All of a sudden, I'm not feeling so hot. In fact, I think I'm either going to pass out or puke. She asks, "Did you like that drink I made you? It's delicious, but it has a lot of full-milk in it." She bites that lower, sexy glossed lip, waiting to hear how much I liked it.


....fuck...me. I'm EXTREMELY allergic to milk. :shock: I try to shrug it off; I really do. I get ready to amp up the play and start touching, but ohhhh man, the Wrath of God is taking place in my stomach. This is SO not fucking fair. Now I'm on a mission: I have to end this date as soon as possible without looking like I'm flaking out.


Gentlemen, this is where I need your critiques.


I tried to wait for my stomach to settle, but it made the conversation drag, and I felt myself going into friend-conversation, rather than "I want you" conversation. Eventually we had to call it a night because she needed to work at 5 AM, which was true because she had told me in the past she works really early on Saturdays.


She drove us to the bar because she knew this town really well. When she got to my car, she says she really had a good time, and we should go it again really soon.


I don't "hear" interest in her voice that in any way invited me to make a move. But then, she killed the engine and turned off her headlights. I may be looking too deep into it, but if she were just going to drop me off, I'd imagine she'd have kept the engine running; and especially kept the headlights on. :?:


I had 3 seconds to decide to go in for the kiss, or hug her goodnight. If I went for the kiss close and she pulled away, I'd be fucked out of a day 2. I had to go with my gut: literally and figuratively. I didn't hear desire in her voice, and her body language was neutral. With my stomach about to self-destruct, I went in for the hug, which feels so fucking lame in a car, and said we definitely should do it again soon.

I hate that I killed the momentum like that, but I was in emergency mode. :(

Critiques? What would you have done in this situation?

that sucks your allergy to milk man i feel you. As to the situation you should have told her about your allergy to milk
and tease/neg her about her putting milk or whatever. She would have apologized Then use that to your advantage.

"Next time we're out you could maybe try something else to seduce me with hopefully something im not allergic too"
if you make that a personal joke with her thats great its something you 2 can relate to and is very powerful.

Great idea. I was thinking the same thing: this could actually work to my advantage if I re-frame it and make it a funny experience between the two of us.

Night didn't end with the sparks it should have, but there was definitely enough chemistry and good vibes for a day 2.

lol that post made me laugh cause i was in a similar situation like that. you can use it to your avantage this time. Just that in my situation.. i was about to have sex with her and in the middle of it i had to stop >_< and go to the bathroom lol

yeah agreed with lutecefalco, I'd have told her right away that I'm allergic to milk. That could work to your advantage in so many ways.

I agree with Lutecefalco as well. As for the k close, if you didn't have the confidence to do it you could have said something like, "See, this is a problem I have. Girls think I'm so hot and they are intimidated to kiss me for the first time. So if that's what you were thinking, I'd say go for it (smile)"

At least this comment would open up the potential for a k close or pressure her into revealing her true feelings if she wasn't into you. But from the way you described the date I think she was into you.
