Hey guys, I have a situation that I was completely stumped by yesterday. All help is greatly appreciated!! I went to a party about a month ago, and HB8.5, who has been a friend for a while, was being especially flirty with me at this party. She was hanging around me a lot, and she was the one who was doing a lot of kino throughout the party. Towards the end of the party, I saw her outside, as I was helping clean up, and I could visibly tell her mood had dramatically changed, like she was sad. She had to work shortly thereafter, so I figured that is what she was sad about. And I was going out to the bars. Apparently, about 10 minutes before I left, she went in to our friend’s room, and texted me, “Hey, I need a pow-wow. Could you come to the bed room?” I did not receive this text until I left the party. I end up seeing the text, but just ignored it. We texted a little bit more that night, but nothing notable. For the next two weeks, I had sparse conversation with her online, and didn’t see her at all. About 2 weeks ago, my friend-girl was telling me that HB8.5 really wanted to make out with me that night, but it wasn’t good timing, so she told HB8.5 not to do anything yet (friend-girl already has a boyfriend, I know it’s not jealousy). Yesterday, HB8.5 IMs me out of the blue, saying that she is bored. She invites me and my roommates to a movie. For the movie, I was definitely getting some IOIs, she was initiating kino, and she was pretty slutted-up for Terminator Salvation (short shorts and a pretty sexy low-cut top). I drive us all back to my house, and we’re looking for something to do. She keeps suggesting that we should get the other Terminator movies and have a marathon. HB8.5 and I were the only ones who didn’t have work early the next day, so I thought she was making her move. I tell her I have to shower, but I’ll pick her up later. I pick up T1 and T2 and she drives over to my house to watch the movie. She comes over at 10:30, with a new top on (low cut again, but comfortable) and pajama pants. I have a TV and just a bed in my room, so we have to lie on the bed to watch it. She even brought a 6-pack over for it, and I had plenty of beer in my mini-fridge in my room anyways. I’m thinking at this point…it’s on. We started the movie with the lights off and the door opened. Near the beginning of the movie, my cat kept coming in and out of the room. I started complaining about the cat a little bit, and after it had left the room, I told her to shut the door to keep the cat out, to which she promptly and matter-of-factly replied, “No, I will not shut the door.” We just watched the rest of the movie, with a few sparse comments, but the mood had definitely changed. We finished T1, and she said she was going back home to go to sleep. WTF!?!? Why did she go through all this trouble so that I CAN’T make a move on her in my bed? I thought there were plenty of IOIs there, and the perfect situation to hook up. Please point out anything that you see wrong with this situation. I am completely befuddled at this point. |

hmmm...question how much comfort did you create. All i see is typical flirting and no comfort building. If this girl led you through all that there had to be a reason. It's probably something that made her feel uncofortable. Could just be the fact that you tried to close the door. Also how often were you thinking about kissing this girl? Did you show it throughout the date? Did you look over during T-Salvation and wondered when was the right time to kiss her? Really believe it or not girls realize when a guy is trying to make a move because they build it up. I like to do it quick and early. Not like moment I see her but probably when emotions are running high and we are both just cuddling around. Pull the trigger next time earlier and try to not make it seem like the moment you got her in a room your gonna go down her pants. |
