Well, I started learning pickup in 2014, but stopped after some girl whose hair I'd touched called the cops...and then the police, a couple weeks later, without me even recognizing her from when she'd gotten on. I had lost my college place to practice, no one to sarge with, and no money, to boot, to say nothing of trying to stay out of the pokey. Well, I'm employed, have a better frame of mind, and a little bit of moolah. I'm going to try again, and while I haven't been doing straight approaches, I've been practicing flirtation with the women I've been in contact with, and it's gone better than what I had been doing, and I think has helped my feel in the game. I know I'm supposed to do twenty approaches in one go, but the first and last time I did nearly got me arrested. I'm easing myself into the right mood, this time, not anything cowabunga-stupid. Thoughts? |

Lol yea take it slowly and become more calibrated. If you a girl got that upset by you touching her hair, you didn't built enough compliance and attraction yet or it was just uncalibrated and too soon. |

Uncalibrated to the nth. Lots of stalling, then, when taking action, being totally over-the-top aggressive, at times. |

There is no lie, this is a long journey. I remember when I wanted to approach a girl so bad and ask her out, but broke down crying because I couldn't move. I made a commitment to myself to handle this area of my life, and I stuck to it until I made it. I never got called on by police, but I did get my share of weird stuff. From jealous boyfriends coming on to me and starting a beef for talking to "their" woman, to women going cold vendetta on me, probably to pay back their boyfriends who cheated on them. All I have to say is yes, start small - but there is A LOT to learn, so if you're not willing to put in at least 2 or 3 years into mastering it on your own, get some sort of help.
