It feels like the less shits I give about getting laid, the better responses I have.
Today, I was on a trolley and a couple girls were confused at which stop to get off at. I came behind them and into their personal space with a map showing them which stop they were at and where they were headed. I was all smiles and just being generally friendly. They started to talk to one another so I went back to my friends, and they thanked me generously. When I left the trolley, they asked for my name and I gave it to them.
Later, we walked by a group of three who were friends with one of my friends. One girl was near the front a little separated from the group, and I scooped in and chatted her up. The conversation was about her virginity (too young to touch, not too young to flirt with
), which she brought up. I kept a strong frame the whole time and just kept it friendly. We went to a Del Taco and I just chatted her up outside. She's a little rich girl and I kept it real, and she liked it. When I left her we exchanged names and she said "we'll probably see each other again soon :}"On the way back to my car, we passed the first two girls and they shouted out my name, which was a huge ego boost.
I didn't even care about number closing or anything like that, I just went out and had a great time. I was not incredibly selective about who I talked to, I chatted up a dude from a band and an old woman (who gave me some good tips about the artwalk).
Once I dropped the frame of "I'm trying to approach you to get your number and get you to like me," everything became so much easier. I literally gave 0 shits about getting laid and I got a bunch of positive feedback which hyped me up. Hopefully I'll get the lays I want, but if not I'm happy just being present and in the moment.
