| Post subject: | FR - Long Distance 10, Close Distance 8 |
This was a quick pickup, but I did use a new opener that I thought of on the fly and I promised my buddy, Chris, I would make a FR for it :p So I’m at the same restaurant/bar that my other FR about picking up a 10 took place at. The HB8 in this field report will be the 3rd hostess at this place that I have picked up. I’m going to get found out eventually, especially since number 2 called me out on picking up other girls at the restaurant (but I convinced her I had noooo idea what she was talking about). Anyway, I told myself that I would not do pickup tonight. I just wanted to hang out with my friends because we have a tradition of always going to this place on Tuesday nights. But, of course, a wild cute girl appeared! She was a blonde and I had never seen her working before, so maybe she was new. At a distance, she looked like a 10 but really she was only about an 8. At first I wasn’t going to approach, but I was talking to Chris on Twitter while all this was going on and he convinced me to. I was looking at her trying to decide on an opener but she looked at me, too. She had noticed me and if I hesitated at all at this point, I would be the creepy guy hovering and staring. It was time to go and think of an opener on the way over. I ended up coming up with a new one: Smiley: Hey I’m having a bit of a dilemma and I’m hoping you can solve it. HB8: (smiling) uh oh…. Smiley: See, I’m trying to decide what I should wear when I take you out on our first date, but I just can’t figure it out. At this point, a sound erupted from this girl that scared the shit out of me. It was one of the loudest laughs I had ever heard and I legitimately flinched a little and almost wanted to take cover. Luckily I could tell it was a laugh of acceptance and not a laugh of rejection. So I braved the storm and continued on. HB8: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (I wish I could do that laugh justice in this FR) HB8: (smiling) That was a good one!!!! Smiley: Yeah, so I figured I would just ask you what you were going to wear, and it would give me an idea on where you would want to go. HB8: Hmm…I like just T-shirt and jeans. Smiley: Oh ok. So Burger King. HB8: (laughing) McDonalds is better! Smiley: (laughing) Alright well let’s exchange numbers. Boom. Number-close. We are texting as I write this and there was almost a deal breaker. It seemed like she didn’t have a sense of humor: HB8 10:21PM: So is burger king all you can afford? (she thought I was serious…? gtfo) Smiley 10:43PM: Haha I guess I can spring for mcdonalds HB8 10:45PM: I’m not a cheap date Smiley 10:50PM: Lol is not having a sense of humor just a blonde thing? (seemed like the correct use of a neg) HB8 10:51PM: Don’t hate on the blonde. Haha. Luckily for her, she redeemed herself with a text a little later on: HB8 11:19PM: I’m going to culinary school bc I know my place in the world. (omg wife material?) Smiley 11:25PM: So blondes can have a sense of humor!!! As always, I write this FR with the underlying message that it doesn’t matter what you say, as long as your delivery is strong. Don’t be afraid to test out new openers! BONUS: There is a small problem. Not only am I going to screw myself over by picking up all these hostesses that work together, but I did a little Facebook investigation (when a girl puts her first and last name in my phone I assume she is saying CREEP ON ME PLEASE! and who am I to deny the request?) and it turns out she is friends with one of the girls I am currently dating (the girl from my “N-Close to Day 2 to K-Close” FR). I’m getting in over my head here. |
