| Post subject: | FR+ DHV with intellect |
I've been thinking about DHV by some other means that could almost count as bragging. A year ago, I spent a couple of months in Spain to learn Spanish. I pick up languages very easily, so in two months time, I could speak almost fluently, lacking vocabulary though. Since I do not resemble a Spaniard in any way, I got asked about my nationality many times when going out, especially by girls (because I was foreign and thus interesting, I guess). This lead to asking for my mother tongue and then to asking what other languages I speak. I told them that I speak five, and it happened to be quite a panty dropper everywhere I went. Unfortunately, I didn't really get past k-closing often, since in order to be able to sarge in another langauge, you must be fairly proficient. Now what I'm wondering about is whether this is country-dependant. Where I live, people usually speak two to three languages at a pretty high level, but in Spain, most only speak Spanish. Any thoughts? Also, any other input on DHV with intellect? It seems to be really hard to introduce other than in the aforementioned situation, since it could easily come off as bragging. Any experiences? |
