So 2012 may have been the worst year of my life. I finished off the year being 20 lbs over my preferable weight, having a dead end part time job, no money in my savings account, a weak social/sex life, and no clue about my professional future. I have never, ever, done the whole new years resolution thing before, but I believe significant changes are needed and now is the time to start. So by the end of 2013, I hope to accomplish several things: 1. lose 20 lbs - I am currently 5 foot 8/9 and around 190 lbs. This sounds a lot worse than it is because I am a pretty muscular guy, so I wouldn't call myself fat, but i'm definitely overweight. I would like to get to under 170 lbs, preferably closer to 160. 2. 20 kills - simple. bang 20 girls in 360 something days. Seems like a tough goal for someone way off his game, but I really want to push myself. 3. Get into graduate school - I graduated college in 2010 and since then, I've done nothing of significance with my life. Grad school is something i've always intended of pursuing, so I need to commit 100% to this. 4. Take at least one epic trip with friends. Traveling is something I enjoy doing, but unfortunately haven't done much of (with friends at least). I just got back from Nigeria with family, but I feel every person in their 20's should take an epic trip full of excitement/danger/bad decisions. 5. Make some money - save for graduate school, buy a car. 6. Get some god damn health insurance. I've been uninsured for almost a year and am definitely due for a new eye exam/ a visit to the dentist. But most importantly, I just want to push myself each and every day to do something great. If I attempt to make an impact or make some kind of great move every moment of every day, the rest will fall in place. Life is short, memories need to be made on a daily basis. This is my overall goal for 2013, and i will be using this forum as a way to keep track and motivate myself. |
