FU: I just got done dropping a friend/coworker off at the Hospital (She needed paperwork), on the way out I was walking confident, with a smile. This lady in her late 20's was walking towards the direction I was coming from, getting ready to introduce myself, I then fucked up. I thought "I'm in my work cloths, what if she yells, at me or flips out." Thus I failed the social warmup. *NOTE TO SELF - Maybe if I don't plan what to say, I also won't plan on a reaction. Spontaneous might help when my inner game isn't confident. FR: I just got back home. got into my good cloths, and got ready to go return cans and bottles at a Meijers. While out, I was going to try some game (TSG). I got to Meijer's, got out with my bin of cans and headed toward the door, a tan lady was walking toward her car in the parking lot, thus I changed my path accordingly, With my confident walk going, and a small smile. I walked up, she looked and smiled. In my head I'm thinking "Good, she smiled. All is well". I got close and used one of my openers. "You are the most interesting attractive girl I've seen all day." She then gave a laugh, and said "Why thank you." As I stuck out my hand, I said "I'm Alex, and you Are?" She took my hand for a handshake, and said "I'm Rachel". I looked into her eyes, smiling, and didn't remove my hand but also didn't hold hers as if to prevent hers from leaving, (To make it clear she could take it away if she wanted to). About ten seconds later, she said "I must be going my kids are at home." So I said nothing, (Thinking this was a test, to break rapport). She then removed her hand and said "Bye" while proceeding to her car door. As she opened it I said "Have a nice day, and before you go, may I get your number?" She said, "Sorry I'm in a rush." Once again I was silent, hoping for her to give in, but she just got in her car and drove away. I then proceeded to go inside, and it turns out the bottle return machines were out of order, and the store was nearly empty. Thus I left. *NOTE TO SELF - This time I think I needed to either escalate, or start some social conversation, for a minute and then escalate. I'm not sure if I actually did do anything wrong. That concludes my first day trying some game with a random person. NOTICE The only book relating to pick up I've read is the 60 Year's Challenge book set. Being under 21, I can't get into the bars in my area, so I'm mainly stuck with day game. I think there's something in between the Name Exchange (NE) and escalating, all though I don't know what. |
