hello all, not new to forum, but new to applying everything in field. today was my first day (sarge i think) i braved going out. this is what i wore: http://i.imgur.com/UWDSU.jpg any feedback would be appreciated, the white watch is actually my nano with the headphones plugged into it with the wire running up my sleeve and underneath the hoodie. pretty much im writing this for my own reflection, but any and all can chime in and offer guidance/feedback/advice. Nothing significant to report, as this is my first ever sarge solo, went to the mall, since i've had severe social anxiety, i'm too terrfified of bars/clubs, specially with my level (or lack of) game. moving on, just walked around today had to pick up an ipad for a relative, so walked around practicing walking with the right posture/body language, made eye contact. chatted up a hired gun while buying sandwich (she mentioned she had a bf and met him this same exact way lol) all in all my approach anxiety is very much there still. i know this was my first ever sarge solo and not to expect anything from the girls there, but i couldn't even open one set......there was a 2 set sitting there as i was walking by after buying my sandwich both just texting idly on their phones.....i just knew they were waiting for me to come sit down with them.....oh well, i'm taking it small steps at a time. today was walking around taking it all in, next time i'll at least say hi or something, and hopefully writing my progress (or lack of) on here will motivate me to continue. just out of curiosity for whoever's reading this, what was your first solo sarges like when you were rAFCs? |

Alright man. First of all I love the fact that youre trying. Youre putting yourself out there and youre trying to better yourself. That is what the game is all about and if you lose sight of that you will never succeed in it. I checked out what you were wearing and it was pretty standard. Not awful but not great either. Tighter fitting clothing would look better. Your jeans and tops were baggy. A v-neck with the hoodie would have looked better and no hoodie at all would have been best. I would also shave the mustache. Stuble looks good if you want facial hair. The only way to get over your approach anxiety is to keep putting yourself out there. Try winging with a more outgoing friend. They will push you into set you wouldnt usually approach and will ultimatly better your game. Remember that the worst thing that can ever happen is rejection. And everyone gets rejected at some point. However, how you deal with that rejection will define who you will become and your success later on. Cheers. -BRAD |
