Post subject:  DrStrutter's Adventure To Getting A Date

I've known about the community for over half my life, but started applying it's techniques over the years with slow progress. I'm 20 years old, have had a few make outs, and many number/email/facebook closes. But no dates yet.

To not have a girlfriend is terribly painful, that I created this journal to monitor my progress, as well as welcome any feedback that may help me. I want to get a date. All my friends have girlfriends or boyfriends in my clique. And I have become the last one...

Today, I got a text from the girl I liked inviting me to a club. I refused. I wanted to work out. An hour later, she asks me if I can pick her up and drop her home later that night. She offered to buy me 2 movie tickets. I thought this was odd, considering how her friends she went clubbing with drove, and could have dropped her off. In my head, I thought she was going to try and have sex with me. I decided to pick her up with no expectations, and I was a few minutes away from the club. (I am too nice sometimes. :(

I meet her outside the club, and we hug. And I drop her home in 3 minutes (what's odd was she could have walked). I didn't get to escalate much, except for some playful conversation.

I had her guess my car, teased her for being too Asian for her new car she got, and even asked her what the highlight of her night was, besides getting to see me.

The vibe felt like we were just friends. I hated it! She's one of those girls who goes clubbing every weekend, and invites me often. But I rarely go.

What I have to focus on is being less of a nice guy, and being more aggressive/assertive, and going for what I want. It was out of my comfort zone to go, and I'm glad I got to see her. Having expanded my comfort zone, I'm one step closer to getting a date.
