I open a 3 set (obstacle 1, Target, Obstacle 2, standing in that order against a wall) Me: Would you ever date a guy who sucks his thumb while he sleeps Obstacle 2: No, I dont think I could Target: (Laughter) Why? Me: I have a step brother who is the same age as me and he still sucks his thumb whil he sleeps, one of the reasons his phiance left him is that reason Target: Omg, they were engaged? Set: Laughter Me: I gotta catch up to my friends but what is the accent im hearing? Set: Guess Me: English, Irish Obstacle 2: Nope, Do you know anyone who is scottish? Me: Actually my step dad is and my step family is Target: Well Scottish girls have thick accents and red hair Me: (To Obstacle 1) So how do you all know each other? Obstacle 2: We met back home where you still havent guessed yet, guess again Me: You dont look Japanese so ill say American Set: Laughter Obstacle 2: We told you somewhere in Europe Me: Sweden Set: Yay! Obstacle 2: Why would you guess American Me: Oh no. My ex was Swedish and she was a handful so I dont know if we would get along at all. (To the Target) You look like the bad one out of the group here, those to look like goody 2 shoes Obstacle 1: Points to obstacle 2 (who is definately the alpha girl of the group) She is the bad one by far, but this little girl here (points to Target) made us come out tonight. Me: Cheers to that Enter the AMOG Amog: Something about 1 guy talking to 3 girls just isnt right, what is with this. Me: Here, in this country, we talk to each other. Amog: Cheers ( we all cheers again) Me: (to the set) Are you guys bffs? or bfffs? Amog: Theyre definately bfffs Obstacle 2 and Target start talking amongst themselves and the Amog starts running obstacle 1. Me: (To the target) Let me see your hand for a sec, im gonna tell your fortune. Obstacle 2: Like hell you can do that. Me: (take Targets hand) your gonna get hit by a bus that sucks. Come here ( I try to spin her so I can lock in) Target: Im not going anywhere (Pulls her hand away) Amog: Did you just say she was gonna get hit by a bus? Me: I guess we'll see. ( To the target) You arent a stalker are you, cause my ex actually stalked me. Obstacle 2: Leave and find out Me: Nice meeting you guys I had an off night, I was very nervous for some reason but I guess every night cant be a winner. After writing the field report and me being me, I disect everything, I can see what went wrong and what to do for next time. This was a very good learning experience for me. Any Suggestions on what went wrong, what to do for nextt time, or any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy sarjing Derail Laired (facebook) |

you're running too much "game". It comes off as weird, and especially not a good idea around dominant guys who will rip shit on you for it. Just talk to her and talk to him more, remember it's not a race, you don't have to game her in 5 minutes. If you spend half and hour with her friends and being nice to the "AMOG" you'll be in a far better position than if you just flat out try to separate her instantly. You can still escalate with her, just do it with your eyes and body language. |

From reading what went down I actually have a question. Did you feel like you had to close faster/sooner when the AMOG entered the conversation? I mean I think I would be a bit more pressured to do the same in a sense but logically thinking about it if ones pace remains the same things seem to flow smoother. Anyway thats just my small take on it xD not sure if it applies in this particular case though |

So basically some guy came in friendly and asked you two questions and now you're being amog'ed Fact is what Stand Up said, to much textbook nonsense, to little of actual interest shown. But you actually did well for some time keeping some group dynamics going which is cool. Too bad the other guy called you out on your textbook stuff and too bad the leading girl followed his opinion. |
