| Post subject: | Brief daygame report aka Women can't drive |
So I drove into pittsburgh today and decided I would roam the University of Pittsburgh's campus for a little daygame. I'm not a guy who will do 10 approaches in an hour for "practice," I need to actually think a girl's attractive to get the motivation to open. Today I had two. The first was a total flop, ending so quick it was funny. I was walking along the sidewalk and noticed a cute brunette walking alongside me. As we passed a park I asked her if there was something going on there, because this big tent was set up there. I said I didn't know the area well enough to know, myself. She said the same thing, that she was new to Pittsburgh and wasn't sure. I introduced myself, she gave me her name, and she then proceeded to double her pace as I extended my hand and said "nice meeting you." Wow...some girls really just don't like to be spoken to. After making sure that my face wasn't bleeding or any similar craziness that would scare a girl like that was going on I headed back to my car. I debated driving back home but stopping at a mall along the way, when I notice that the car in front of me is shuffling back and forth. To clarify, I am parallel parked on the side of a busy road, and whoever was trying to park in front of me sucked. Now I have been in that situation often enough to know how great it is when somebody takes a minute out of their day to offer you a pair of eyes to make sure you don't hit the car on either side of you. Since one of those cars was mine, I decided to get out of my car and help her out. My good nature dropped an opportunity in my lap. There is a legit 5-star behind the wheel of the car, a blonde who was tan enough to raise my interest thankfully without looking like a leather wallet or a Jersey Shore character. As I offer to help guide her car in she actually gets out, keys still in the ignition, and asks if I can park it myself. Wow...that's trusting, granted I'm white but let's be honest I could drive off with your car, girl. Hell the first thing I did upon entering the car was go "I'm not gonna lie, you seemed taller in the car" as the seat is so far forward my knees are hitting my ribcage. Whatever, I do it and finally introduce myself with a handshake. I ask her if she's new to the city, but nope she is just a terrible parallel parker. Her class starts at 2, and it's like 1:50 now so there's your damn time constraint. As we walk the conversation's just about the basics, where ya from, whatre you in school for, etc. We keep going back to the parking deal and I take each opportunity to run light kino, a high five, fist bump, hand on the shoulder. In fact, it only takes us a couple minutes to reach the building and I've been going at a bit faster pace than usual. I go for the number close, and she has that moment of hesitation you can see when a girl is debating whether your awesome or crazy. There is a fine line between them after all. Gives me the number, and criticizes my last name (its just a thing I do, I introduce my full name sometimes out of habit). it probably took me more time to type out hwat happened than what actually took place, but there's a lesson to be learned here. Be willing to help people out and you may stumble onto opportunity! When I get around to calling her, I will use this post to update you on what happened. but seriously, daygame > night game. |
