pro·jec·tion - Psychology.

a. the tendency to ascribe to another person feelings, thoughts, or attitudes present in oneself, or to regard external reality as embodying such feelings, thoughts, etc., in some way.

b. Psychoanalysis. such an ascription relieving the ego of a sense of guilt or other intolerable feeling.

Haven't you ever met someone who seems to always accuse people of having flaws in their personality that they themselves possess? And it's usually their most pronounced flaw, at that. They're projecting hardcore though they're unaware of it.

I have an interest in psychology and was brainstorming on ways to improve both inner and outer game using projection and identifying when a target might be using it also. The difference is that a target almost never knows when she is using it but I will use it PURPOSELY. Projection is DLV but you could use it purposely to make oneself more confident and simultaneously, a NEG. People do this all the time subconsciously but the power is in identifying when an HB is doing it and when/why you can possibly exploit it.

example:

If you're feeling nervous,

me: (C&F) You seem to be acting a little nervous. Something on your mind?
Target: No, I'm OK...?
Me: LOL! It's just that you're a bit fidgity. It's cute!

This example demonstrates what you could do if YOU were, in fact, nervous. You're projecting it on her an it's also a NEG , and boosting your confidence level all at the same time.

I'm going to field test, using a "projection NEG" that applies to me whether it is existant in her or not.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or examples are more than welcome.

Wouldn't that be a reverse neg? I mean it's not exactly a bachanded insult but reverse insult, because you are making a negeative into a positive light, not bringing her bitch shield down exactly but uplifting!

It a NEG that you are projecting onto her that you were experiencing. People do this subconsciously so they can deal with thier own issues.

Another example:

If you're feeling lonely:

Me: " You looked kind of lonely, I'd be glad to keep you company"

In this example, I projected MY loneliness on her and ALSO presented a remedy to "her loneliness".

Everyone has issues and you could act as though you see one in her. It will make her self conscious and simultaneously, feel as though you transferred your lonliness to her..

Ever asked someone if they had the flu even though they looked healthy? They become self conscious. A chick did this to me once when I wasn't even sick. I became self conscious. "do I sound nasily or something?

It's a DHV mindfuck.

These sound similar to something I've been thinking of field testing. I havent thought about it too much yet but something along the lines of:

Approach a quiet looking 2 sets, armed with a chuppa chup (kind of lollypop) and open with "you guys look bored/quiet/sad/upset - here, have a lollypop..." Could throw in some push-pull by pulling it away before she takes it with a "but you have to promise to be happy"

Any thoughts/comments?

In an rAFC fashion, I used a "projection NEG" as an opener and scored an HB8 N-Close tonight.

She sat next to me at the bar of a night club and I could have used several lines I've read about until I noticed her posture. She sat like there was a stick up her ass. Shoulders back and uptight looking. I have the same issue of sitting up with shoulders back and looking uptight.

I IMMEDIATELY felt a connection with her that crushed my AA and I NEG'ed her on her posture. We talked for an hour or so and I N-closed.

My PNEG at least gave me the inner game to talk to her instead of sitting there like an AFC, wondering what I should open with.

It wasn't exactly text book PNEG because she REALLY DID have an uptight posture but I'm beginning to see it's value as an anti AA Inner and outer game icebreaker.
