Post subject:  Definiteness of Purpose

Recently, I have been reading the book 'Outwitting the Devil' by Napoleon Hill. If you don't know who he is, google the list of the best get rich books, he is near the top.

In the book he talks about having a definite of purpose and this has resonated with me deeply. He says that most people don't have this and it is why their results suffer. It is why people don't get what they want.

Take pick up for example, if you go in not knowing if you deserve the girl you are likely to have mixed results. If you are wishy washy about being able to sleep with her, that is also likely to be true as well.

I have also noticed that when you go in strong and confident and on a definite mission, the thing you want is likely what you are to get. I have noticed that when I tell a girl that I am talking to, we will meet her at this time and do this activity almost always it goes down just like that.

Apply this to business as well. I remember a story about Steve Jobs working on the iphone. He wanted it all to fit and the engineer said it was impossible. Jobs said do it anyway and they did it.

I have made it a mission of mine to practice being definite in all things. It has been challenging, but I have been getting better at it.

Lastly I would say that people who are definite are not always right and that is okay. In the book it says that it is far better to have a definite purpose than it is to have definite plans, however the two together are magnificent. My friend trained in NLP compared it to moving a shelf, once you got the shelf moving, it is so much easier to get it to where you want it to go than if you start to move it from rest.

This has helped my inner game, it will help yours!
