Post subject:  Do any of you have experience with visualization???

I was wondering if it would help if I spent at least 20 minutes a day visualizing being out in the field approaching women. I would imagine good outcomes, (Getting the number, kiss closing, making a connection, etc) "bad" outcomes, (getting rejected, getting into a fight with some AMOG, embarrassing myself, etc) and neutral, low energy outcomes. Switching up the venue in my head. Beach, then mall, then house party, then pool, then college campus, etc etc.

Do any of you have experience with this kind of stuff? I plan on getting a few books on meditation off of amazon anyway, to help increase my overall happiness and reduce the anxiety that I have in my life, but I thought about using this guided visualization for pick up as well. As the Buddha once said, "We become what we think."

Let me know what you guys think, and please share some of your experiences here if you have found that visualizing making progress has helped with your game.

Most definitely. But the most important part is actually experiencing it first hand. Then it will become real. Ever heard the saying "perception is reality?" Visualize the win. Figure out what it takes to actually win. Act on it. Experience the win. Get the experience doing it. Now you truly believe in what you are doing works.

Just don't over analyze shit... don't get stuck in your own head. When you are actually having an interaction with a girl, be in the moment. Enjoy the conversation.

Thanks Majik. What you said makes a lot of sense. It's just like riding a bike and what not.

As I plan on visualizing all sorts of outcomes, that way, even if I don't succeed with a certain girl, I'll have internalized that it's not a huge deal at all. Haha, I'll even visualize approaching another cute one after the one I was just talking to blew me out. Nice!

Visualization is good and can help. But in my experience it is also important to work on the negative things you are holding onto (beliefs, emotions, thoughts, whatever).

If you have a ton of negative programming in your mind and are trying to visualize it's like you're stacking that on top of the negative programming. Unfortunately if you don't work on letting that go it will still have an affect.

When you're making a change, creating a new habit, increasing confidence. Let go of the negative first (Emotional Freedom Technique, Sedona Method, other subconscious programming methods) and work on the positive using the same techniques and visualization. Or do both at once and it will make it deeper.

Thanks alpha. I have done EFT before. When do you recommend doing it? Whenever I have negative thoughts or self doubting/limiting beliefs???

Hey man,
It can be done in the moment for what is coming up. But the deeper changes come from exploring it further than that. I'd recommend that when things are coming up in the moment or a certain situation to write it down so you can refer to it later.

Just tapping on the surface stuff like "I feel nervous" can help a little... but where the real change lies is tracing that back to past memories/experiences.

Like there may be a few times a girl was really harsh and it hurt. But then when you clear them you will goto an earlier memory, eventually you get back to childhood memories that are connected which is where most of the issues come from.

Say you have a pattern of rejection in your childhood from your parents then you've adopted that pattern subconsciously and it's going to be easier to experience that and have it affect you until you are able to deal with it.

So...

1. Tap on the surface emotions/thoughts/etc and notice if any memories or past experiences come up. Some may logically not seem related, but if they come up they are related and usually you see why as you start working on them.

2. Another way is to bring up that emotion and ask "what does this remind me of"... "oh shit it reminds me of when I was 12 and a girl at school rejected me"... then work on that memory. Then ask "what else does this remind me of" and work on whatever else comes up.

3. If possible sit down and do this for all the dominant emotions/thoughts/beliefs that are holding you back and write down as many memories as possible related to that. Take some time each day to go through these and tap on them. Don't overwhelm yourself by trying to do 10 hours a day or something, because working on stuff subconsciously tires you and you need time for your brain to rearrange it. Even 30 minutes a day is good. Better to be consistent than to do tons in one day and go "this is too much".

As you're doing it write down any other memories/thoughts/beliefs/emotions that come up related to it and deal with them too. Your goal is to go through this whole list, even if it takes several months.

Hope that helps. That can be applied to nearly any method of subconscious change, not just EFT.

You have to first learn to lose.

Visualization is awesome. A good way to improve your visualizations would be to do the woosh swoosh technique.

1)Take the negative image, of you being scared, not approaching, getting rejected, failing, etc. and see it on a movie screen in dulled out, grey color, with no sound. See it for about 30 seconds.

2) Now explode a bright, colorful new image onto the screen, shrinking the old dull grey image and pushing it into a corner, replacing it with the new image. In the new image, see yourself standing proud and confident, approaching girls, getting good responses, seeing them enthusiastically saying YES! when you ask them out, etc. Hold this new image for 30 seconds or more and feel how good and bright and powerful it feels.

Do this about 5 times back and fourth, switching the old patterns with the new patterns. Worked wonders for me in addition to a few other tools for reprogramming my subconscious.

Sounds like some awesome NLP right there!!! Thanks Chris. It sucks balls that Ben Affleck is taking your old job, but hey, don't feel bummed. Lots of people are unemployed right now...
