| Post subject: | Mind games? Why do people do it? Please help! |
I would like to know how to be aware of any mind game that anyone is attempting to play. My whole life I’ve never been the sort of person that would intentional say something with the intent of making the other person do or think something. Only as an adult I realised that some people are like that. And more to the point it does get to me. It really gets to me! So far I’ve been reading things relating to pick-up and occasionally there will be something there that is technically a mind game, therefore I’ve learnt how to spot it should someone else try it. But when I’m engaged in conversation with someone I’m not thinking ‘are they trying to fuck with me’ I’m just trying to have a nice chat. Yet sometimes people are trying to fuck with me. Agh!!!! I was wondering if anyone on her could advise me as to what to look out for or recommend something to read so that no-one can use crafty language or mind games on me ever again! Or is it simply that I’m too nice? (Perhaps there are some books, websites, blog or even some posts/response on here. Perhaps someone here could tell me what to look out for i.e.: reverse psychology, creative talking, even dodgy NLP things.) Thanks guys... PS: I’m not too sure if ‘Body Language, Voice Tonality and Dress’ is the correct section to post this under, please let me know if you think my question would be better placed somewhere else. |

check out these books. One is the art of seduction and the other is the 48 laws of power. You can probably read these for free online on some ebook site |

Acknowledging the trap to yourself is the first step. After that call the person out on it in a respectful, composed manner. |
