Post subject:  Books on Body Language & Cold Reading

Hey everyone,

As I'm very new to game and haven't read anything else than The Game by Neil Strauss, I would love to expand my knowledge on body language and cold reading, since I consider them to be valuable tools to use in the field.

Does anyone have any recommendation regarding this?

Thanks !

Neil Strauss book is really good.

Have you tried reading the "Mystery Method"

That is also a good cornerstone in the industry!

Any of the multiple books by Allan and Barbara Pease are great on body language. They also have several youtube videos to help visualize the gestures.

T, if you've gotten The Game, then read the Mystery Method and Rules of the Game as well - in RoTG, which is also written by Neil Strauss aka Style, he sets out a 30 Day Challenge, filled with action items. Think of it like a 30 day workout challenge where you modify your calorie intake and workout regimen.

Reading material on the Psychology of Sales, Public Speaking, Negotiation, and Influence would round you out nicely (look to Coursera for free courses instead of purchasing books, as this information is sourced and you will have reference material readily available as well).

To improve body language, start slowly.

Improving body language is something that goes very slowly so work on one thing at the time if you really want to work on your body language.

If you try to change everything at once you don't get anywhere.

I personally only consciously changed one thing, I remember I never touched people when I gave them a kiss on the cheek, I now always put my hand on their shoulder when I kiss them.

Don't get obsessive about it either, fidgeting a bit, not touching a girl enough or some other things is not the end of the world.
