Hey guys, This forum has helped with most other parts of my game, but I've found this website sometimes lacks consistent info on how to dress well, especially for those of us who are entirely new and need a good starting place. I would like to make a go-to thread for resources on Fashion basics. But I'll kick this off with my favourite resource. Check out the website Fashionbeans (Due to Spam filter I can't post URL, so you'll have to google search yourselfs) I like this website especially because it's very welcoming to new comers. Not focusing on what “in season” but instead how to build up a basic wardrobe, and fundamentals of good style and dress sense. - I hate having to read posts to get the info I need, so I love this website. The website is simple and has short articles so it's great for getting the info you want quickly. I often print off bullet points provided before buying the item of clothing they mention in the article. - The "Basic of Fashion" articles are amazing teaching you the fundamentals .(Search "Fashion Beans Fashion Basics") - A great starting place is their first article on fit(Google search "Fashions beans part 1 good fit") - They also offer "Style guides" in which they show you how to create/find certain outfits(e.g. Johnny Depp look) using highstreet shops. This is great if you're looking to develop a certain look to reflect your personality. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE! Hobochic. |

http://www.gq.com is the most popular go-to resource for latest trend on men's fashion. But my favorite happens to be http://www.vman.com because a lot of the fashion are high fashion and stuffs you see during Fashion Week. I've even have a subscription with them. Can't go wrong in making yourself look like a model. |

"Can't go wrong in making yourself look like a model." Actually, you can Due to my own hobbies I spent quite some time checking photos from fashion weeks, fashion blogs and god, some of the stuff people wear is just blatantly terrible when it comes to seduction (stylish nonetheless). Don't get me wrong here, going after what's fashionable is better than nothing, and some looks are really damn good, but blindly following GQ or any other men's fashion magazine is a sub-optimal approach. Anyyywayyy, There's an article that compiles pretty much the best resources on the internet when it comes to looking attractive as a man and there's a big section on style and dressing. But because adding links is "too spammy" I cannot share it haha (how's that for a takeaway? Hobochic, feel free to pm and I'll give you the link if you want to check it out |

Well In short, start with jeans and t-shirt. Then add cardigan or zip-up sweatshirt, Sperrys or vans as your individual taste moves you. |

It also really depends what type of girl you're into and looking to attract. If you want a hipster dressing all GQ is not going to get her. Know your opponent. Once you get that down, start looking at magazine related to that type of fashion and start adding pieces that you can use regularly. For me personally, I like to wear blazers and go with that look. Adding a blazer to your arsenal is killer. |
