Hi people,

I thought I'd add my opinion and comments on this. I've just started so cannot give an in-depth viewpoint yet.

What do you get? A Language course which has 11 cds worth of audio and a lengthy workbook. There's a Technical manual which I haven't really looked or listened to yet - 8 cds and another hefty workbook.

I think it would be natural to proceed at 1 CD a day, effectively doing this over 10 days. The first CD is mainly an introduction so could easily be combined with CD2.

Dave encourages you to work through the course systematically but acknowledges that people do jump into stuff at various places. There is a strong emphasis on doing the practical exercises. Being atypical I've listened to all the audio of the Language course and now starting to work through each section doing the exercises.

So far I'm reading and listening to sections on tonality of your voice, speed, pacing, pausing and energy. Each has it's own exercises to help. I've just started on using descriptive language and trance words. If I recall correctly he only gets round to patterns by CD 7

In short if you've read anything about patterns this seems to break the whole process down into realistic and manageable chunks. Building blocks to change the way you think and speak.

I listened to one CD and I think Dave is going against the grain of most PUAs. In a CD he was explaining the brutal facts of life. Your lifestyle has to lead to you meeting people, women in particular. Beautiful looking women are rare. If you're to sarge only 9s or 10s you won't be sarging enough. It's not enough to just drop in a pattern in everyday speech, if that pattern is incongruent with your style. There is a very strong emphasis on making the language skills natural and spontaneous. There's also mention of looks and funnily enough he seems to say they DO matter. There's a slight dissing of tall handsome PUAs. My own opinion is that if attraction for girls is made up of 20% looks and 80% personality, confidence, humour etc then it's stupid to ignore that 20%. be as good looking as you can but don't become obsessive about it. Dare I say it I think Dave provides a healthy dose of realism in the PUA world of hype and bullshit.

So far I would recommend that people check this out and I'm certainly going to continue this.

Thanks for the review!

I really like the Tech Manual. I might try that other course too.

I'm working my way through and it's still very good, if repetitive. I've just listened to audio about linking and basic anchoring techniques. I can imagine Speed Seduction being taught in a school or classroom environment using the material. There's a strong emphasis on reading out loud, practicing, taking small steps and making it natural as possible

Hi Mindhacker,

I've listened to the audio now 3 times and the technical manual audio once. I've had a lot of personal stuff to sort out ...trouble with my daughter, death in the family, a new French language course, finance problems... so unfortunately I haven't done more than listen to the audio.

It is THE most structure PU material I've encountered. It's ironic that Speed Seduction will be probably take the longest to learn of the PU techniques.

From these CDs I think Dave Riker is a better spokesman for Speed Seduction than Ross Jeffries - who I hate at times but other times think is great. Dave comes across as a solid likeable guy.

One of the most useful parts of the course is Conversation Management where it helps you to steer conversation topics from normal stuff to deeper and sexual topics. The best advice he gives is that it may take several tries to go from shallow topics to deep ones and you are unlikely to get there in one go ...so a conversation may go shallow, medium, deep, very deep then reach a dead end and back to medium then deep then dead end back to shallow etc etc. He explains that much better.

I still love the realistic attitude and I liked the way Dave said that guys should not go around expecting 10s and should lower their sights for 6s and 7s! He said that you'll have a very hard time finding a 10 and even 10s in real life don't look like the 10s from Playboy etc. Speed Seduction is considered 'fringe' stuff by a lot of the community and has a bit of a bad rep. It's still not quite as 'out there' as The Sexual Key which I will review one day (if I get the time)

One thing I plan to do once I get back to more PUA life is to buy a digital recorder and just record loads of conversations I have. I have a feeling my diction is not clear and my volume may be too low. I also need to guage how much tone control I have I'm probably very monotone. I am definitely aware that at times I speak too fast and the speed is constant which can be over-powering.

I think so far the course has opened up my awareness. One neat thing I do when walking down a street is to tell myself how to describe everday objects in more descriptive terms. Instead of seeing a blue car - I'm saying to myself that's a small, glistening metallic blue car. Just pile on the adjectives! Hopefully it's leading to more descriptive and richer conversation
