Post subject:  Which is the better book? mystery method or art of approachi
okay guys.. I'm pretty new to the scene but I'm absorbing these material like a dry sponge waiting for water... but I was wondering which is the better ebook. I bought the mystery method, but is the material the same in the venusian handbook? and i heard the art of approaching is good as well... Have anybody read both? Please let me know

The VAHB is better than the art of approaching in my opinion


VAHB from Mystery is one of the most completes e books about PU you will find and it has the basci outline , that most PUA use.

i agree with xfman. the art of approaching focuses on just that, approaching, but the mystery method is a comprehensive guide to a style of pickup. he goes through everything from approaching to comfort building, to seduction. the nice thing about reading this book first as opposed to the art of approaching is that you can read mystery's book and then hone in on the skills you believe you need to master.

on the other hand if you have already read a comprehensive pua book that gives an overview of a certain school of the pickup like Juggler's or David D. and you want to strengthen your approaching skills, then by all means read the art of approaching as it is a comprehensive guide to approaching.

Art of Approaching is commonly regarded as the one of the worst products ever, a lot of the stuff isn't even field-tested. If you don't believe me go www.themysterymethod.com/forum and see for yourself. Go to fastseduction101 and have a look at their guide

you'll get more out of doing just a few cold-approaches in real life than reading Art of Approaching.

VAH and MM are basically the same thing, except that VAH is actually from a company that Mystery owns, and MM is from The Mystery Method Co. which was taken over by Savoy.

MM is I believe the foundation and a reference, you'll eventually go back to it again and again as you improve. At least thats what I do..

I do believe in learning from various sources and just testing them and see which one is best for you. For example I could never peacock. Not only because peacocking does not seem work well in my country (attracts HB10, but scares pretty much all other girls), but also because I don't feel comfortable with it.

I'm reading "The Game" by Neil Strauss which has the Mystery Method but I do suggest following the Mystery Method book for more detail information. Good luck and peace!

I'm also reading the Game by Style, pretty dope book if u ask me. It does have some of Mystery's Method in it but briefs on other's like Ross Jeffry's Speed Seduction, and tons of others. It's a great read if ur new to PUA because it gives u a great overall view atleast IMO. Then from there you can decide which method you want to read up on more/try first, and eventually all of them. There is also a reference to quite a few different NLP and seduction books aswell which would be great to read. I want to read up on NLP a bit more.

I'd get David DeAngelo's Double Your Dating. I think trying to fix your inner you and rearrange your perspective of the world is better first step. Maybe it's just me, be he comes off a little more intellectually honest than some of the other guru's.

I am very impressed with VAHB. It is well thought out, complete, organized. It is grounded in solid philosophy and that solid philosophy is stated and explained explicitly. It contains a comprehensive and effective plan that will take you from sight to sack, or wherever you want to go, as efficiently as possible.
Many of Mystery's ideas are classics that can be found in works of great thinkers throughout the ages, from Epicurus to L. Ron Hubbard. His ideas sound right intuitively; you find yourself saying "yeah, I knew that". Of course, the challenge is going out and doing it.
That said, I think that the whole question of which book is better smacks of chumpish laziness. If you are serious then read all the books. Study NLP and cold reading. Learn palmistry. Study reflexology, massage, psychology, sales. Improve your whole life. Study everything, especially people. And learn how to dance.

To jump in, I have just finished The Game as well. And i think that is a great resource as well, not just because it sort of collects information from many mPUA's but it also talks a lot about responsibility and not letting the game take over your life. It takes the time to show, that even these great masters of the game still have confidence problems and that it is about using this information to only help enhance who you are. If you just try to emulate everything these books are saying, you are just going to split yourself between a smooth talking persona and a dork that still has issues. Hope that makes sense.

Also I have started listening to pickuppodcast.com and it really has worked well as a counter point to the things learned in the game. It really strikes a coord about just becoming a better more socialized person. Learning some canned routines isn't going to help you become a more interesting person. But figuring out your goals setting out to achieve them and getting more confident in who you are is going to make you glow in the eyes of girls.
