Post subject:  The best PUA book ever? (I hope so)

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules with this post. If so, please delete it. I just wanted to let everyone know I finally got the proof back from the printer, approved it, and my book is now available. It's called "The Zen of Meeting Women" and combines the power of Zen with the objective we all are working on, meeting great women. You can learn more at my website, http://TheZenOfMeetingWomen.com

This book is the result of my many years of experience, both the successful and unsuccessful, in meeting women, as well as having read through most of the major eBooks and watched many hours of the available DVDs that are currently out. I took the best from my own experience and these materials and distilled it down into something that will be fun and easy for people to follow. Whether you're a complete newbie to the PUA scene or a Master PUA, I guarantee there are things to learn in here that will improve your Game.

One last thing and then I'll get off my soap box. I did this as a real book, not an eBook. Personally, I like to have something I can read on the train, stick in my backpack, and have sitting on a shelf when I'm done. Call me old fashioned.

Whether you get the book or not, I'm here on the forum answering questions when I can, and I'm always happy to help. This is a great forum and a great community. I wish you all great success in finding the woman of your dreams.

Is it only available online or is it going to be in book stores like Borders?

It will be available in bookstores, although you may have to special order it. Also will be on Amazon soon. Thanks for asking.

Cool! I will be sure to pick it up soon. Is it already in stores or what date will it be released?

All I can say for sure is it's available if they want to special order it. I don't know if or when they will order copies. Probably not till they see how well it sells.

But it's available online now. No waiting.

I'll post here when I know for sure the bookstores have it but they all can get it now.

[EDIT]
I forgot to mention. If you try to order from a bookstore, you can give them this info:
ISBN/EAN13: 143481646X / 9781434816467

Also, it will be a couple weeks before the book shows up on Amazon, so it might take that long for it to show up in Books in Print too. If the bookstore person can't find it, that's why. The publishing world just doesn't move at internet speed yet.

Congrats Snubby..

I'll have to check that out. Maybe we could do a review somewhere on the site. I'll get with Brad on that.

You're not breaking any forum rules that I am aware of.. Just limit your promotion to this post and what you have in your signature line, and don't spam other contributors by pm, email or otherwise..

How much ''new'' stuff, as I've read a LOT of other stuff incl but not limited too David D, mystery, Style, Cialdini etc.
And is it an easy read? just read through some heavy psychological books and could do for something that reads easy :P

It's a very easy read. I worked hard to boil this stuff down to its essence so that you're taking small easy steps along the path to improving your overall game.

As for "new" stuff, they say there's nothing new under the sun. Nonetheless, this book does offer a great deal that is new. This is the only book out there that combines Zen principles with PUA techniques. What does that mean at a practical level? It means you aren't just going through the motions, doing exercises and working on opening, approach, etc. You will be working on those things within a broader context that will guide you if you get stuck. That context draws heavily on the teachings of Zen, but they are woven into the techniques. You'll be learning a philosophical context that will pull together everything you are doing and make it all natural.

Many people have a hard time transitioning from routines to a natural game. I make that easy by giving you an insight into a mindset that makes natural game . . . natural.

Even if you've read every book and eBook, watched every DVD, and listened to all the CDs and MP3s on PUA, there is plenty of material here that will be new to you, and a context that will make everything you already know gel much better.

The book will also get you meditating, and I have to say if that's the only thing someone took away from the book, they would have gotten their money's worth. The benefits of daily meditation cannot be exaggerated, you'll see it helping in every aspect of your life, including your Game. Being calm and centered when approaching an HB10 is a powerful thing.

Finally, I'm not a big fan of fluff. Some of the eBooks out there are filled with anecdotes of varying degrees of usefulness. My book trims the fat and leaves the good stuff. At 112 pages, it's a quick read, but you'll be re-reading parts of it to really absorb them. And you'll be doing the exercises too.

You would think I could trim some of the fat from this post. Anyway, I'd love to hear some reviews from you guys so if you buy a copy, let me know what you think.

Bookstore update. I checked at my local Borders and they still don't have it in their computer. Bear in mind, the book was just published a couple days ago. I'd give them a couple weeks to get up to speed.

But it's available online for those who don't want to wait (or don't like paying sales tax)

Hey -- I've enjoyed your posts and just saw your thread here. I also wrote a book (it's not PUA related) that just got picked up by a publisher, so I'd love to help a fellow author out. ;)

I plan on buying your book and talking to my local Barnes & Noble about picking it up as soon as I can.

Good luck!

Blues, much appreciated. I keep checking the Barnes and Noble website and they still don't have the book listed. Whether that means they won't be able to special order it in store I don't know. If you find out, please let me know. I checked at my local Borders a few days ago and they still didn't have it on their in-store computer. Things seem to move slowly in the book world. Thank goodness for the internet.

I don't have any extracts online, Ming, because the book is sequential and just grabbing a bit from the middle won't make much sense. Instead, I'm doing the blog posts so people can at least get a taste of my writing style and the types of things they'll find in the book. That said, Amazon will probably have Search Inside happening on their listing of my book within the next couple weeks. Here is a link to the Amazon listing for the book.
