How can I best build up the shoulders?

I've never really given them much attention before so I want to correct that now.

Can you give me some excercises for front, middle and rears?

The only thing I do SPAM is overhead press, will that do the whole shoulder or just the middle?

Yeah , Over head press is what's gonna do it. (heavy weight, not lots of reps)

Dips do quite a few muscles too.

I wouldn't worry about shrugs till when you got a good set of shoulders 1st

ok thanks, but about the dips. Sometimes when I do them I get a little bit of shoulder pain, which is why i want to build them up a bit more.

I don't mean muscle burn or the good kind of pain.

More like it feels like damage

I've got no problems with excercising muscles into pain, I enjoy the soreness of a good workout.

But you get no pain during the OHP? A much heavier weight?

Indeed, perhaps my dip form is wrong. Its not all the time, its just one off now and then. I had it today, the last time I had it was several months ago. Just thought it would be a good idea to build up some extra shoulder muscle as prevention.
