Yesterday I had a chat on the phone with a girl. We've known each other for quite a bit but never been close friends. But recently we've been hanging out together and I'm sure she finds me attractive. She called me yesterday in the afternoon but I didn't answer because I was rushing for a rehearsal so I called her back in the evening and she seemed to be offended. I realise I wasn't very kind either when we were talking, because I was a bit pissed off with something else. So she said she saw me on a bike when she was at work so she called me because she wanted me to come and chat. I said I couldn't and that was pretty much it. Then I thought - ok I could have asked her out for today to make up for that - so I texted her: are you working tomorrow? and she didn't reply. But as I said I wasn't very kind so she probably thought I was doing that with bad grace, or she might be trying to tame me. Now I'm sure that you guys could use this situation to your advantage if you were me. What would you do now? |

Don't ever call a girl when you're even a tad bit less than happy. Remember you're setting the mood, NOBODY likes talking to someone who's not having a good time cuz you'll only bring them down. Heck even your best friend wouldn't be happy to have a chat with you when you're moody. You'll have to recover by calling her again and say what was bugging you but don't apologize for it. " I know I was a bit rude yesterday but hey it's all solved now! " Good luck ! |

Yeah that's definitely right. And probably another thing is that one shouldn't try to arrange meetings through texts. I keep hearing over and over again that texting is for flirting, and calling is for asking out, but I still don't follow this advice. Surely this wouldn't have happened if I called her instead. |
