So when I open sets I just start asking questions, get to know them etc. The problem I have though its almost like I am interviewing them. I just fire off questions, I am really good at that. However the conversations never really materialize into anything. I end up having to break away, shake their hand ask their name and tell them to have a good night.

Anyone have any advice or links to escalate? or ideas I can do to create attraction etc?

I have seen this before.

They are not investing in the conversation.
It could be your body language. However, let's assume it's not.

So, you open the set, then what do you do?
Do you use any gambits to get low level emotional investments?

Also, how many conversational threads are you using?
Are you Hyper-threading your conversation?

Do you get any emotional during conversation? As scientific said, I belive it might be a problem with your body language. Maybe try to really enjoy just talking to women without any purpose in the back of your head. Are you tensed during openers? Do you move between topics naturally or it's more like jumping from one thing to another?

When u open a girl(s) don't expect them to contribute any more then 10% to the conversation.
You have to do 90% of the talking.
This will change later when the girl starts to get a bit comfortabel with you.

Also make more statements then qeustions. Like this,

Q: So do you guys come here more often?

Statement: I really like to come to this bar! althought i go to alot of different places this place tops it.

After the statement u wait for anwser to come and then continue your talking about whatever they said to you.

Also always try to continue a conversation by telling about all kinds of things, like what you did that day on school/work or with friends.

Try to see those points that will lead you into a other conversation topicm like,

HB: I can't wait until our free weeks from school.

PUA: Yeah i can't wait either! especialy for the big school vacation! Im going on a holiday then bla bla bla.

I hope this will help you! Goodluck

to be honest I dont know what any of that means...

what I do is I just open, then I just start asking questions about them.

like a girl in class " oh hey how did you do in that class?"

"oh really cool, what are you taking next quarter?"
"cool whats your major?"

I just go through a series of questions, I can tell they are into it and they like talking to me and that I am interested. Its just like uhhhhh so yeah well have a good night.

I can act naturally and cool. I just feel like I am doing all the talking. And the only talking that is really happening is just a series of questions. They just give me a brief few sentence answers. I can tell they are engaged in the conversation and are comfortable. I just have a trouble building attraction.

The questions are boring and so they don't feel excited by the interaction and there mind will wonder. Make more SPAM, and only ask interesting questions, and stories

Amadieus has some good advice!

ok, when you start to open the set, think to your self, I'm an entertainer, not a reporter.

IE:

Timbo: "oh hey how did you do in that class?"
HB: "good, I got a A"
Timbo: "So your the girl that every was calling the nerd"
HB: "what!"
Timbo: "nah, just kidding. I know your not a nerd, I sat behind you on the last test, I copied your answers, I got a C.

So, what I'm getting at is embellish her answer, you didn't care what it was anyway. When you do that, you will start to branch the conversation into multiple threads. So, if one this dies out, move on you have plenty to talk about.

I like the advice thanks!

The thing about it to, is I work at a grocery store so I open "sets" all the time and I get paid for it! I like your advice. I always though that they should control the conversation and let them guide it.

ill try out what you said. Thanks!

maybe now you see that you ARE interviewing them. Just don't do that.

One alternative is telling stories. I don't mean memorize a bunch of crap, I mean it could be anything off the top of your head. If you work in a store great place to practice telling little 30 second stories to entertain the customers.

damn this just threw a wrench into my "routine", what little routine I had to begin with. Im glad though that I posted this thread cause now I can change. I just don't know any stories. I love getting to know people and learning about them.

Anyone have any suggestions for stories?
