Okay, so I've been seeing a little bit of this chick lately. Good IOI's, fun girl, about a 7 I suppose though her self esteem does seem a little low. The only real obstacle that I can see is an ex boyfriend, who she is still sleeping with I believe. I don't know the guy, but all her friends hate him and he seems to annoy the shit out of her too, but as far as I can tell she keeps going back. Looking at it from a PUA perspective, he is a jerk who is unintentionally using push-pull extremely effectively.

Any tips on pushing in? Also, is push-pull something I should be using with this girl too since it seems to work so well on her? I don't want to be an arsehole about it, so all I've really been doing is giving her lots of good attention (though not really making any real moves..) and then leaving her alone for a few days.

A bit of a late addition.. am I correct in assuming that I should NOT be telling her to ditch this guy, and just do my thing?

Dude she is a 7 and has low self esteem, there are 3. something billion more women, get out of your house, not worth the battle in my opinion.

If you assessed the situation you would have seen that you answered your own question:

she keeps going back.
She is clearly still infatuated with her ex-boyfriend and it looks like he is just using her until she grows some common sense. It looks like there is little potential for the both of you.

You know, my initial thought was to argue with both of you and say she's worth the effort.. because there really is something about this girl that I just *like,* but after stepping back and looking at this thread from a different perspective I'd say thinking like that is a good way to give myself one-itis, which I've made the mistake of doing a lot in the past and would say I'm pretty prone to.

If she decides to come after me then yeah, that'd be cool, otherwise I'll focus my attention elsewhere and try not to see her as anything other than a friend from now on. Thanks for the responses!

I never implied that she was not worth it, she wouldnt be a potential one-itis if she meant nothing. It is just quite clear her attention is shared between you and her ex.

I can just see this huge car crash ahead, when you are together and she might see/have a close relationship with her ex-which will cause more pain then cutting your loses now.
