| Post subject: | My biggest problem |
i wanted to post this in the general discussion lounge but since i only have 21 posts i cant (you need at least 50)...but it still fits here cause my problem affects my mid-game the most so... Im totally into working on my game and have been for a while but my biggest problem is i have the worst memory out of anyone i know (which really sucks cause im only 21...imagine when im 60!) so ive basically made a journal of all of the good stories i can remember from my life and ones that my friends have reminded me of and i update it daily so every night before i go out i reread the journal so everythings fresh in my mind to actually give me stuff to talk about...so i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to improve my memory or maybe my problem is just my recall or if anyone has any other ideas that might help me |

yeh i have the same problem and im 20, have you tried rehearsing it? saying it out loud, look at yourself in the mirror and actually do it, mirror or not make sure you say it out loud, it really helps, practice is the key |

If you read about memory exercises, one of the most effective ways to memorize things is by associating with something that's already in your head. So basically anytime you think of one thing, automatically the other thing pop's up... Example would be: You think of women, my quickest association with that is fun. What does fun mean to me? Being with friends, enjoying the trips I have taken, family. Now I have 3 different categories to pick a story from my friends, trips or family. and it continues. The more things you can associate what you want to remember with whatever is already in your head, the more likely you are to retain it.. |
