Post subject:  3 blades or 5?
Have you noticed all the new men's razors on the market now with 5 blades and extra trimmers, etc? I bought a 5-blade wet razor recently and thought of this simple little routine, to be used after you've built a fair amount of comfort.

You: I recently bought one of these new razors and I didn't realize it had 5-blades. Seemed kind of extreme.
HB: So?
You: So, just for the hell of it I shaved this side (wave your hand by your right cheek) with the 5-blade and I shaved this side (wave your hand by your left cheek) with the old 3-blade.. to see if there was a difference.

If you've done this right, they will reach out to touch your face or ask to. Do whatever you would normally do (let them, challenge them, "hey no touching the goods", whatever). I let them touch my face. Even if you didn't shave with two different razors the suggestion that you did will inspire an answer to which side is smoother.

I did this recently at a party to build some quick social proof. Talking to a girl I know as a friend, she started touching my face. I told her I was just joking and she laughed and playfully slapped my chest. Har har. But, two girls I had been talking to earlier started asking all kinds of questions when I went back to talk to them again. Upon hearing about the 3 vs 5 blades, they, of course, both wanted to touch my face.

Its almost disgustingly simple. Enjoy and have fun!

I love it. Too bad I don't have enough of a beard to even consider using a razor. :P
